cant teach grown men how to kick.

Real shame. Was looking forward to seeing what JON could offer today

(other than gifting them the first goal & then getting hurt).

Would have liked him to play the rest of the season in the 1sts and show something.

Although, really - I didn't see the incident where the lad hurt himself but he is too skinny to be playing AFL football.

What are you on about lemming?

They boys showed plenty today. Always put their head over the pill.

Just were not good enough.

as the kids get more experience they will get more composed and feel the pressure less and thier skill on the field will improve. it is a natural progression and we will have to be patient.

take my hat off to JON, incident happened right in front of us, he was steaming in and he knew it was going to be a big hit and didnt deviate. Great stuff kid, now all you need is to build that body and start making the other guy, the one on the other end of your hits. ;)

Yep! Full marks to him for sticking his beak over the ball and taking the hit... not sure who it was he collided with, but as they approached, you could see the body mass equations weren't exactly equal!

While we do need to play the kids to develop them and give them experience, we should not do so until they are physically ready. We didn't give Polo a game in his first year, a decision that appears totally sound now. The same should have applied to JON until he'd built his frame up a bit.

You've gotta hand it to him though ladies, that was a hard hit he took. There was so much future Richmond in it!

Good size as well. Quite tall.

If he doesn't get too hurt (keeps that freak speed/althetsim) and is able to bulk up whilst keep inproving he will be a weapon come his 4th/5th season.

Seems to have all the tools, but I would think a rather long term prospect.
