It Is very difficult to get a bed for mental health In the public system. HFC medics may be able top pull strings to make it happen but it would not be a rubber stamp just because they wanted him admitted.

I remember one of my older cousins telling me back in the 90s that he saw Wayne Carey at a club and he had women literally throwing themselves at him, some randomly going up to him and running their hands through his hair etc. Certainly no consent given from his angle.

Duck doesnt have the best track record unfortunately but he probably could have had dozens of women arrested that night lol. An afl player outing a woman for this behaviour would get laughed out of the building.

We have clinics, but for a hospital stay, it is a long and drawn out practice.as I said, You can't just turn up and be admitted unless you've already got a mental health plan, or you are seen as being a threat to yourself (via incident response from emergency services)

That’s sort of the point, I don’t think any one would care. The same way in that the difference between being a sleaze and a womaniser is often how good looking you are.

Him having a mental health crisis and his actions being bad are not mutually exclusive. Both can be true.

I find it far too 'çonvenient' for Patton to have mental health issues just after being busted for really sh*t behaviour towards women.

There will always be a chorus of do-gooders wanting to defend him but FFS, this is just a huge cop-out and cover-up. Sure he'll get slapped around behind the scenes and probably have his contract torn up too but this is professional sport and its all about managing the image & reputation as best as they can.
