Suggest you get out and about a bit more.

I suggest you don’t go out anywhere and read up on sexual harassment first and the impact of it.

It’s as if you acknowledge the existence of harassment, and its high incidence among young men inflicting it, and because of that, it’s normal, and that it should continue in that supposed normal course and is therefore acceptable? I don’t understand how that is in any sense normal.

Again, not judging...but what is the point of the random dick pic?

Does it give the guy a thrill by sending it? If so, why?

Or is it designed to entice the chick into wanting to hook up or something?
I don’t know about random dickpics, lots of guys do that though
I wouldn’t send unless chatting for a bit and asking her as mentioned before, as a step towards meeting in real life, so it wouldn’t be random... similar to “show me your nipples” “aww hell yeah let’s meet”
I have a gf now thank buggery

Gross response. Sending a stranger an unsolicited picture of your genitals is not on, and I'm amazed that I have to explain this to another adult.

They normally get released into the community to re-offend.

Do they?

Don't all criminals get released into the community at some point? How many re-offend?

I don't know the answers by the way. It's not a topic I know much about, or care much about. Just trying to understand your point.

Bit if a difference between a dick pic and a home invasion or car jacking.

On face value there is.

But there's also a difference between just a 'dick pic' - and indencent exposure, and sexual harassment. There's even a big difference between sending your missus a dick pic, versus sending one randomly to a stranger who didn't want it.

And there's also a difference between African kids doing regrettable stuff that they will be ashamed of when they're adults - and home invasions and car jackings!

But the moral outrage s about a dic pick led by the usual suspects.

Is it moral outrage? Or is it actually just people expressing their views on public forums (which are literally designed for people to express their views on)? There is a difference between supposed moral outrage, and people actually disagreeing with or not liking something. It's not always a moral thing.

The Herald-Sun's entire business model is about stirring up emotive responses from their readers, and demanding that people be outraged. I don't know why you think it's being led by anyone other than the media.

They've successfully outraged you, by telling you how outraged everyone else is. In reality, I'd bet that you're more outraged about the outrage, than those that are outraged actually are!

The amount of times I read headlines that talk about people being outraged about something, only to read the article and find that in fact very few people, if any, are actually outraged about it, is hilarious.

Fair enough.

For the first time in my life, I genuinely feel old. When I was growing up and on the prowl, nipples and dicks came way later on in the process.

This much is true. For every Jon Patton in the AFL there is 100 regular nobodies on Tinder or other platforms spamming dick pics or asking for nudes.

What was that live video chat platform called where you would click next and be connected to someone random? I remember that from ages ago and every second or third connection was some bloke wanking on camera.

That being said, footballers like it or not are held to club standards. I'm pretty sure this is breaking them at Hawthorn, and so he's been caught and now needs to accept whatever consequences however light or heavy they might be.

Bit of a difference between going online to see blokes going at themselves on Chat Roulette to speaking to somebody in the public eye in the real world who sends unsolicited dick pics/videos.

I actually don't think the AFL, media and clubs should moralise as much as they do about affairs etc, but this is an overstep. Also, if you're going to present yourself as the "family club" then you have to take a stand more-so than, say, if they just called themselves the "pokies club".

Collingwood don't moralise as much as Hawthorn so they get to keep people like DeGoey on the list.

Wow, talk about living rent free in someone's head.

This is a discussion about Patton..

Sometimes it works. For people who want no strings sex but can't be bothered talking to or paying for a women. A big dose of no respect too, of course.

So does the wanger itself matter? Or is it the gesture that counts?
You'd be surprised how easy some people are. And that's their right, nothing wrong with just enjoying yourself and being sexually loose.

As has been said before, of the many he sends there would be a certain percentage of women who like what they see or like the profile and would be happy to reciprocate.

This shit happens all the time, very rarely gets reported. It's only in the spotlight because of his profile. The world is full of weirdos who don't have respect, but they get what they want enough for it to work out.

At best Patton has damaged his reputation, at worst he gets sacked (wont happen).

Although it's completely inappropriate to randomly send such images how many recipients have missed the opportunity to reply with some clever repartee? Eg. "It looks like your surgeon was left handed." or "Do you culture what's growing under your foreskin?" or "Was your extension more or less costly than a boob job?" or "Sorry, I'm in the middle of an online Scrabble game." or "Hasn't your Mum caught you doing this yet?" or "Lucky you can buy those really short sport socks for that." or "Is this your sperm bank audition tape?" etc.

The worst thing about this is the do gooders coming out. Today the Hun greats us with 'ex cop says AFL must act on player sexting'.

They already educate the players but end of the day they are human, they are young men, young men do stupid things, its part of growing up. As we age we all look back and go WTF, why did I do that? The public humiliation is more than enough punishment and an example for other players. Will it stop another player from doing something stupid? No, but for some it will.

If Patton was not an AFL footballer we would never have heard about it. Sorry to be a bit serious but I detest the woke crew.
I think you've got the wrong end of the stick if you think this is about over-reaction by 'woke' leftists. It is definitely about inappropriate behaviour with the potential to cause trauma by someone who should know better. While responsibility is primarily with the bloke concerned, there is also responsibility on the part of the AFL and clubs to ensure that their staff get the message that this is not on.

Wouldn't at all surprise me if he does given the number of reports and that he's pretty much cooked anyway.

Fairly easy decision by Hawthorn to let him go I'd say.
Hes also not very good and as a player is expendable, which will make the decision easier.

Lets not forget, GWS gave him away for cents on the dollar. Hawks wont be upset at losing a 4th round pick...
