I assumed it was about Fox showing two identical clips of players getting grazed high and Ralph says the one that was on the ball is a suspension and the one that was off the ball is a fine…
It’ll be interesting to see how they assess it. Can he get a fine? I’m not sure how that would need to spit out if it’s deemed rough conduct. I must admit I’m much more nervous than it seems most on here.

Fine I’ll cop through gritted teeth. Any match sanction we’ll be challenging as that’s as soft as shit if he gets cited

I agree we’d challenge any suspension and I imagine the argument would be that the contact was in the act of smothering not a bump along with the contact being low (if it needs to be medium for a suspension). Whilst not exact, it’s rare that there’s ever two exactly alike, the precedence that has me nervous is Laird’s suspension v WC. We’ll see by Friday evening I guess.

It was pure controversy stoking. If hes said one is a fine and one is a suspension, he's graded them both as reportable conduct and somehow deduced that JDG's impact was higher?

I reckon there’s a clear argument for careless & low impact

Meh, who knows, he may end up being right? We wait for the MRO report.

Regardless, it was poor form by Jon Ralph.

His job (along with players, coaches, and other media folks) is to be a performer in this entertainment we call AFL. The game is over, the fans of the losing team have turned off and gone to bed. The fans of the winning team are basking in the afterglow of the win. You don’t rain on their parade in that way.

And on that topic, where was the presser of the winning coach? Sure, I can go watch it on afl.com.au, but isn’t it the job of the broadcaster to give the viewers what they want? If you want the viewers to sit through a kazillion inanane AAMI or KFC ads, you have to give them content?

Well he shot himself in the foot tonight.

We all knew he was a sad, bitter Collingwood hater from way back.

Now everyone does.

He lost all credibility tonight, he embarrassed himself both personally and professionally.

He behaved as if he’s a pathetic individual.

Yep

Dunstall politely schooled him

Ralph eventually shut up because he lost his colleagues

Need people on social media to make sure to remind the footy media that if they’re going to analyse de goey’s they have to do the exact same to worrells hit

On the telecast they said low impact is a fine. If I remember correctly.

The Worrall hit is as close as you'll get to De Goey's and the commentators were only calling for a free kick.

The difference in how they got reported was comical. It's about a headline though.

Loved Dunstall for this, confident enough to voice his own opinions even after the panel stated this is Ralphys so called domain.

Kept referencing the Neale suspension which was clearly different as it was off the ball. JDG is somewhat attempting to smother and even looks to avoid a hip and should collision.
