Is he a steal at under 600k this year?

Last year he started at $723k and people still had him.

I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on him at $597k?

Can he be relied on to deliver 20-22 games in a season?

As good as Brown is i wouldnt take him early on.He has a history of starting off slow and i think his price will drop in the early weeks. His 1st 3 games are against WestCoast (a) Coll (h) Syd (a) and whilst he may post a good score against Collingwood i dont fancy him doing well against WestCoast and Sydney. Will pick him up at some stage though probably after 5-6 weeks as i cant see his value moving upwards early on

Unbelievably pathetic. Waste of money if you ask me. :D

But seriously he is the first player I will pick, he 'should' play similar to the second half of last year and average over 100

I don't think we have a CHB to line up on him to be honest. Jonno should tear it up against West Coast.

i dont have brown in my team...i got pav and johno as my expensive forwards. i can trade johno for brown with the excess money i got, im not sure if i should though.

The round 1 and 2 scores get removed from a players rolling ave very quickly. Sure he might not get a ton against WC, but then he plays Collingwood whose defense aint too crash hot this yr, and then Sydney who he got 99 last time he played them. Then he rolls up against Port, Hawks, Melb, Geelong, Carlton.

You could be waiting a while if you're expecting to pick him up at a bargain price.

I am willing to bet he will drop after the 1st three weeks because at his price of 597k he would have to average at least 112 a week for his price to stay at break evens and given the fact he is a slow starter and has a couple of tough early games against good defences i cant see him holding his value.

get him for dt
doesnt matter who plays on him, if hes on song he will destroy any1 and con score massive scores like 150 plus could do anythink this year hes ready and fully fit.

I was talking about DT.

Lets just say he does drop a small amount early in the season. Are you really willing to use up a valuable trade to save like 20-30k? Waste IMO.

No it wont be worth it to make a trade if he only drops marginally but i am banking on him to drop at least 100k or more during the 1st 5weeks and if so you can downgrade a player not performing and trade up to Brown.I got Brown last year year at 460k after about 8 weeks and considering his price was around 700k to start with it was a huge saving which left me with plenty of cash to upgrade others.Reiwoldt is a far better option for just 15k more with his 1st 5 games under the TD roof with no wet weather to worry about messing up his scores

Once again, I'm talking about DT. If you're waiting for him to drop 100k in DT you'll be waiting a while. It won't happen unless he gets hurt. In SC, you MAY be right.
