Happy to concede I wasn't letting the truth get in the way of a good story with a couple of those players... but for you to say Collingwood didin't chase C Judd is an out and out lie.. Who was that bald headed man with Gary Pert and Eddie McGuire being showed around the lexus centre late last year then ?? Chris Judd was chased very very hard by the Pies - but he chose Carlton - just accept it and move on.....

he chose dick pratt and his money.. there in no reason apart from the fact that ur dick offered him a very healthy cheque to join carlton (unless judd thinks that he alone would be able to conjure up another premiership)...
as for losing twice twice to ur insipid team this year.. well.. we did and both occasisons we played terriible football.. if you honestly think ur insipid club is as good as ours you need to top sniffing the box glue at visy... we accept it and we lost nothing for it.. whereas u lost a large chunk of salary cap, a potentially very good CHF prospect for a [player that will never reach the heights he once achived.. remember... judd had kerr and cousins as teammates.. surely u arent stupid enuf to believe gibbs and murphy will offer him the same chop out?

Nick Stevens wanted to come to Collingwood, but Port Adelaide did not want to trade with us. He ended up at your mob for free no because he wanted to, but because you were last and had first pick i pre season draft.

We could have had Steve Jihnson, but decided against the deal.

Bad luck !

Judd already had a deal with Sugar Daddy to come to Carlton and you can have him. He got beaten by Rhyce Shaw.

J. Brown is not going anywhere because he has links to Fitzroy.

i still think he chose the money... he could have found a way to get us if he wanted... but from what i hear from my carlton mate (knows someone on the board) judd is recieving some sort of superpayment through dick pratt (all legal apparently).. look for judd to become a ceo at visy within the next decade or 2..

money had very little to do with it - you seriously don't believe that Collingwood with all McGuires contancts couldn't have come up with very similar financial terms... Just like the ones offered to J Brown a coupe of years ago. Just like Juddy, Browns alos told the Pies to stick it. Get over it mate it is only your own ignorance and jealously that allows you to keep comeng up with the same dribble that Judd is at carlton as a result of money and Pratt. You are in denial mate Juddy had a choice he chose carlton deal with it....

You clearly have very limited knowldege of the game and let your emotions override better judgement preventing you from providing honest factual debate. Murphy and Gibbs are both developing very well and C Judd hardly requires a chop out mate he has been the No 1 target for all opposition taggers for 5 years mate and handles the attention with aplomb. The bloke is 24 years of age and has it least 5 years of his best football ahead of him... It is only jealous Collingwood people like yourself who can't acknowledge this....

Had nothing to do with it mate - he made his decison and then the trade was done not the other way round... Like I said just accept it Judd chose Carlton - no doubt if he picked the pies the deal would have been done.

he chose something that was good for the club and good for him. if he chose the pies, he knew that they wouldnt be able to offer much. they didnt have any high picks and they were not willing to part with quality youngsters.

for us, its kinda like ok we get judd, great, if not...big deal we already have a champion team in the making. we dont need to buy superstars.

stop acting like we're sour grapes over it.

LOL out loud Judd got beaten by Rhyce Shaw that is the funniest thing I have heard this year. Judd was absoloutely instrumental in both wins this year, when the games were there for the winning in the last quarter Judd was absolutely supberb.. You don't seriously believe Judd was beaten by Rhyce "Scaredy Cat" Shaw ????? Shaw was serviceable in both games on Judd but Judd was clearly in our best 6 in both games so how can you claim Shaw beat Judd - laughable......

Carlton must be on the right track with the youngest list in the comp - coonsidering we pantsed this champion team in the making twice this year.

i never said judd was a hack.. just told u the truth.. he is a brilliant footballer that will NEVER reach the heights he did at west coast... and we might have won 1 flag in 50 years but everytime we play our supporters remain loyal unlike ur pathetic excuse for a club.. in the past 6 season ur supporters have been hiding in their closets.. do u know why... because u guys were ashamed to support the club..

and if u truly think that ur team is better than ours ,why is it that we will play finals this year and u wont.. dont kid urself u guys dont have a hope... maybe u should get a ticket for the vixens i still had my membership when we at the the bottom of the ladder.... where did ur members all go?

Yes carlton have won the most premierships but we have played in a hell of a lot more than you, And wait in the last 6 years you guys have possibly been the worst team ever in afl history you have finished last the last 6 bloody years, we have finished last what? 2 times

Yep you have just confirmed it Spartna you have no idea about AFL football - and you can't make sensible factual comment as your one black and white eye and lack of intelligence deosn't allow it.. Again how can you make a call on what Judd will or won't achieve.. Funny that our memebership has continued to reach record highs the last five years despite sh** on field performance

I'd love Brown. The problem is, however, that what we give up to get him may stuff us up way too much. Let's be honest, we're not going to get a freebie like a high draft pick to trade for him unless we tank. Which we are not going to do.

Like pops I'd rather trade a fair bit less for a player like Kerr who to our side would perhaps mean just as much as Brown.

Would prefer Brown anyday... easily the best bigman in the game and in my eyes the best sportsman in the game in relation to his attitude and ability.


Kerr is finding it a bit harder this year being the key midfielder.. to me that says a lot for Judd and Cousins.

Also whats with all the strapping on Kerr? Can he play and function without it?
 
It's almost certainly just a beat-up. And frankly, that's just as well: we'd have to give up too much -- dollars, draft picks, and players -- to get Brown, and we'd have to sign him to a dangerously long term contract as well.

He'll stay in Brisbane, and I'm not unhappy about that. Let's keep building through the draft.

Here, here!!!!!! The word is that Brown will either stay in Brisbane or ask to be traded to Carlton as Richard Pratt embarks on the Blues tried and tested formula of buying a premiership.

It will be interesting to see which players' pockets will be lined by Pratt's $35 million player acquisition fund. How are they going to do it?? Well, draw up contracts that reward the signee when their football career finishes. That's how. No way the AFL can police that.

For those Pies supporters calling for free agency; well keep going if you want to see about 6 Carlton premierships in the next 10 years.
