Was immense yesterday, we still have to remember this kid was an elite junior who has never ever had a consistent run at it. The tipping point is coming no doubt, the cross roads are here, but gee if he does get a clear tilt at things injury free then we will have a legitimate ball winner to play 2nd fiddle to Jags and Tom.

Oh I love the kid as a player, he's a great kick and is (maybe was, probably won't hit peak speed now) very quick. Good inside and outside, comparisons to Pendlebury and Deledio back in the day.

On ya Tige. How good will it be when all the blokes on here who want him gone or love rubbing it into him have to eat their words when this bloke is tearing it up. Bit quiet on the NFL board though this year big fella!!

I've been taken up with the fate of deplorable Newcastles transfer window, will jump back into the NFL board this week. Looking forward to the Rodgers/Bennett partnership, just shaky and nervous about our defence.

I think I read he had 32 touches in the VFL on the weekend.

Great that he is starting to find it.

Varying reports, Hawks stats said 32 others say 30 but either way is impressive.

I think we gotta give JOR another year. Too much talent to let him go without a fair crack

I agree. Plus we won't lose out if we keep him since we don't have any high picks in the draft. He plays the position we desperately need more depth in so there's no harm in hoping he can string some games together next year.

He's 23. Not old but gee you'd want to show something next year.

Can you feel it?

Nice to see him bounce back. He was in danger of being the Forgotten One. It's a horrible word, 'potential', but he did come to us with more than rumours of his youthful ability. It's been another frustrating year for JOR. If his body holds together, though, we may still see his obvious potential turn into results. I hope so. He has shown backbone in sticking with it all. A good final is certainly a pointer in the right direction.

That BHH Final was hard to judge seeing as there was a strong breeze and conditions meant that "good" football was difficult, but he did fight for poss which was encouraging, i think the Finals are best played at a stable ground like Port Melbourne, where the wind doesnt turn it into a Rugby Scrum/Wayward Kicking

I wonder if he's similar to Cyril in that his running style is a contributing factor to his hamstring issues or whether there is another reason behind his injuries.

Regardless, the club has been ultra conservative in getting him back out there so I really hope he can have a good run at it. Positive signs on the weekend.

Miles would be the one who I'd delist instead of O'Rourke but he's contracted until the end of 2018 which was an odd decision for the club to make.

Yeah it would be such a shame if JOR gets delisted and the likes of Miles stay on the list due to contractual situations.

I want so much for o'rourke to make it as an AFL footballer ( at hawthorn ) I feel his skill set if he can get fit ( and that's always been the problem ) will compliment the bull inside midfielders titch and jaegger beautifully- kind of like shiels. Don't get me wrong- I don't think he will ever become a serious 'a' grader- but I think there is a spot there for him inthe mix somewhere

Personally I reckon a lot of supporters are swayed by the fact he was a number 2 draft pick. If he was taken 22, 32 or 42 no one would bat an eyelid if he was delisted this year. Regardless of the excuses he has not lived up to expectations. Plenty of players don't make it because their bodies just can hack it unfortunately.
