He may have been pick 2, but the other picks around him in that draft have been underwhelming too, it was undermined by GWS before it began.

Not the best draft going around thats for sure. Most of the high quality blokes were father-sons and the remaining weren't taken super high... weird draft, must have been really hard to pick who was going to be good that year...

It's players like Mitch Thorp, Richard Tambling and O'Rourke which give me the slightest bit of comfort in knowing we don't have a first round pick. I hope that JOR can turn it around and serve a successful career with us, but i guess it shows that you're not always guaranteed an absolute beast with a top 10 pick. Would love to see JOR, JOM and Tom Mitch running our midfield next year though!
