I am so over big Johnno.Yes,he didn't have many good things to say about us on Saturday (even as we were flogging GC) but what annoys me most is that almost every time I turn on the TV there he is doing ads for this and that as well as his footy commitments.It seems like there's been a shove on Eddie to move over cause big Browny is the everywhere man now.

He's the most ******ed commentator I've ever heard and only seems to spring into action when he's either bagging someone out, praising a full forward or an ex-Brisbane Lions player touches the ball. First time he was talking about Crisp early in the season, he was talking about his bad kicking, etc...now you don't hear a peep out of him when he touches the ball. Think he has been really positive about Crisp also. Clearly always rated him. As an aside I was talking to a guy I knew the other day and he told me he was Crisps uncle. Had not known that before. Told me a few interesting things about he was glad to be out of Brissie and loved Collingwood. Pendles and Swanny were the 2 that had taken him under their wing so to speak. Also said he was really sad to see Vossy sacked , thought he was great and Johnno Brown leaving was the other big blow while he was there. Loves the big man

Fair call but it was more a training thing. They told him to follow them on the track and do what they did. Were very welcoming.

Not a great deal just said it wasnt a great environment and Collingwood was more professional. It was more pro Collingwood than anti Brisbane in that he was now glad to see what was available and get involved in a more full on footy club. Wasn't knocking Brisbane as such.

Most of the best "former player" commentators played for several sides and have no overt bias.
Buckley was an exception I think, as are Matthews and Richo.

Darcy is the rule. Shitness personified.

They should get Cam Mooney doing more commentating. I enjoy watching him on 360. Also enjoy watching Hall. Dunstall should just stick to doing light hearted stuff not commentating games.
The commentators are background noise to me nowadays. Half the time they are not even calling the game, they spend most of the time talking about themselves.
A while back I was surprised after a game to hear x player had had 20 odd possessions as I couldn't remember hearing his name called very often. When I watched the replay I noticed that it was because the commentators were talking dribble most of the time and not calling the game. Since then I have tended to call the game in my mind.

Couldnt agree with you more. I hardly understand him when he talks. He sounds like he's from another country. And the look that he has is something between 1920s farm boy and 1950s FBI agent. Did he ever consider some facial hair to get himself up to date? I've been growing mine for the last 3 years and I got the number 4 around the sides, so have most of my friends. I dont think any of us would bother to listen to a guy who looks and sounds like everything is passing through a time warp. Update yourself Brownie or better still use the hard reset button.
