IIRC, I think the man is out of contarct at the end of the year. Do we go for him seeing McIntosh is in his last year, or do we bypass him and step up another player who has been at the club a lot longer?
I believe he may be worth going for. I know he has not had the best of seasons (or two) since a couple of years back, but I think under the Coasters he may become more consistent under Worsfold, plus being back home again may suit him better.
He was AA in 2001, played in a pre-season premiership, and a rising star nominee back in 1998.
Then again, we have Carroll, Glass and a couple of others who may fit into the slot, but if Hay is not happy at Hawthorn (and I am only hypothectically(sp?) speaking) and wondering if his career is at the crossroads with the Hawks, maybe a nudge from WC could give him a chance to redeem his AFL playing career.
IF he is out of contract, should we make a move or not?
