Having gained selection for Round 3, Marsh seemed to be set the role of negating the effect of Howe ruling the skies, which he appeared to achieve quite well with Howe not having his usual influence on the game. In a game that was not made easy for the Saints fwd line Marsh showed glimpses of the physicality and grunt we know he is capable of, even finding himself in at the odd centre bounce and finishing the day with a goal.

An improved game from Marsh this weekend. Played the defensive fwd again on Grimes which was successful keeping one of the better intercept marks to zero marks. Marsh spent time in the ruck with the omission of Ryder and although not having a hit out to the stat list bodied up well against Nankervis and helped set up a nice goal to Kent.
Marsh had 7 kicks, 4 handballs, 4 marks, 5 score involvements and laid 5 tackles, whilst also kicking a goal.
A concern could be his disposal efficiency this week going at 54% but his aggression in the contest and fiery celebrations are great to see.

Third game for the year for Marsh who continues to improve and is probably holding Ryder out of the team. The entire fwd line worked well together with only occasionally 2 talls finding themselves in the same spot. One of which ended with a straight shot on goal for Marsh. Sadly he missed it.
In a less defensive game this week Marsh presented well, particularly in the first half. With the Hannebery injury he found himself in the middle on occasion scoring a clearance and 2 tackles.
Marsh racked up 10 disposals and 2 marks this week going at an improved 70% disposal efficiency. One of the continually impressive stats for Marsh is his score involvements being 4 this week.

A good first quarter (like most of the team) that quickly turned into a nightmare.
Unfortunately Marsh struggled to have much of an impact after quarter time playing through the fwd line, as an inside mid and as a ruckman at various stages throughout the match. With 2 kicks and a handball to go along with 4 tackles and a clearance his time may be up if Ratts chooses to wield the axe.

Some nice plays by Marsh against the Hawks but statistically pretty quiet.
Had some real moments of strength and fight lead to score involvements.
2 kicks, 5 handballs, 1 mark and 1 tackle. Scoring 2 behinds total.
With Membrey coming back there is a fairly high chance he will find himself back on the outer.

A return to the team for Marsh for the Semi Final against Richmond, essentially replacing Marshall whilst Marshall replaced Ryder in the ruck.

Marsh had his moments throughout the game showing some good physicality and presence on the ground. He spent a large amount of time as the 2nd ruck around the ground including in the 4th when Marsh went fwd. Although as he did appear to struggle with this role he competed hard and used his athleticism and speed to good effect at times including a great chase down tackle on the wing.

Marsh finished the game with 13 disposals (8 kicks & 5 handballs at 38%de), 2 hitouts, 1 tackle. Along with 2 behinds.
