He was super raw in his draft year and played as a tall forward when he wasn't really suited to it just because he had height.

Homesick relative of local legend goes home refusing to play VFL finals
Common denominator of course is
FREMANTLE
year 3
Dockers Rookie draft J marsh and pick up his brother as well cheap ( homesick card comming up), suddenly 3 young cheap recruits
NO DOUBT in my mind thats the plan.
Its called DRAFT manipulation
Only the naive would believe otherwise

the WAFL isn't a strong comp, if you have AFL level fitness + big body you will dominate even if you burn the ball. Barlow was a marginal pick up after being delisted and he had the ball on a string at WAFL level.

Looked very fringe player to me while he was at the Pies, with perhaps a trade value somewhere around 50-100. But Marsh must actually be elite if he is worth risking draft manipulation for. Draft manipulation that also allows him to go to WC as well incidentally, but we are such good buddies with them so that's ok.

All according to the tea leaves of course.

I'm shocked at this evil plan by the Purple Haze and grateful that with Darkyprotector there is at least one honest, angry man that they haven't been able to shut up. :eek:

He was a 3rd year key defender and regarded as a project player. You're right he was on the fringe at the time (most KPP are at that stage of their careers), but he'd made huge strides in his game up to that point and was rapidly improving his game.

The big question mark on him will be his willingness to play in a position he's told to at AFL level. He had aspirations to play midfield while at Collingwood but was pigeonholed in to a key defensive role, which was perfectly reasonable from a Collingwood perspective given it was an area of need for us and our midfield was stacked, and there have been some reports that was part of the reason he left.

He's proven to be good in the guts at WAFL level, but whether that translates to AFL level is yet to be seen. Still think his best position is behind the ball.

Edit: you're best ignoring darkyprotector, he's one of the village idiots.
