What's an American Doll specifically?
Its a doll the company makes to look like the girl receiving it. Ive read that JBR didnt think the doll looked like her and was a bit ungrateful and whiny about it that morning.

Ah yes I know those, hadn't seen that info before. Haven't brought myself to listen to new podcast. I'm so on BDI that I find it hard to listen to anything with John talking as I think he's lying. I will come round eventually

I dont know. Cant find anything about that just that she got one for Christmas.
Found this from another site

"The day before, one of Patsy Ramsey's sisters had gone into the house with police permission and taken out an oil printing, several American Girl dolls, a portfilio of JonBenet's pageant photographs, a pageant medal with a blue ribbon, graduation photos of the older children, and a Bible from John Ramsey's desk, but she had missed JonBenet's stuffed cat, which Patsy had wanted retrieved."

Have you read Foreign Faction by Kolar?

This tour of the Ramsey house gives an idea of how big it is and (imo) the Ramseys were slackers or had a weird false sense of security. That top floor where the Ramseys had their bedroom should have been the kids playroom and their bedroom on the bottom where any intruder would have to get past them first. There are nine external doors, a few which look real flimsy and over 100 windows.

It's the kind of house that would take about half an hour every night to check every door and window was locked tight before you went to bed.

I lived in a really big house through high school years with eight bedrooms in it and that was bad enough but even that wasn't as warrenny as the Ramseys. I came home after being in Melbourne for a while once and found one of my cousins had run away from home and he'd been sleeping downstairs for over a week and nobody knew he was there.

One of the neighbours reported seeing a flashlight in the kitchen at around midnight. That would make sense IF there was an intruder because moving through that house in the dark would be risky, there's toys and little bikes everywhere. At the bottom of the stairs to the side in one crime scene pic there's so much stuff there it looks a bit like an obstacle course.

I still think that was the kids, and the said flashlight that Burke bopped her with. I don't base all this just on the shows that came out on the 20 year anniversary a few years ago, which I didn't rate even with Kolar on it. I don't like the two profilers that much.

Also the houses are all quite close to each other, the photos of the house without the fence make it sort of like it's on bit of a sprawling acreage but it's right in the middle of the burbs which makes me lean less to intruder as too exposed, unless going in the back

Admittedly I'm late to this but hasn't this theory pretty much nailed it?

https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/true-murder-most-shocking/id393525078?mt=2

- early days of the internet and there was a hugely lucrative trade in child pornography

- pageant photographers ran sideline businesses producing and selling child pornography, huge sums of money available for them and parents

- basically a "photo shoot" in the basement

- stun gun used for extreme shots involving garrotting etc, which are in demand

- something has gone wrong and the child has been killed

- grand jury sat for 13 months and had its entire report sealed forever. Only 4 paragraphs have been released... the Ramsey were not to be indicted for murder but were to be indicted for putting JB in the situation that led to her death, and did help to cover it up

- huge case that goes to the whole pageant scene / child pornography
What in tarnation...

IDK I don't believe it. Why would they do it on Christmas night?

I didn't listen to it tho as the link didn't direct to the podcast so they may have touched on that....

Her eyes are ******* crazy
A little of off topic but similar... you can kind of imagine the scenario she was in with this video.

First cop on the scene and you can see the pressure they are under, especially when you think you might be talking to the main suspect(s)

Not a bad episode, was on Foxtel last night. I liked when the neighbour says to the officer, ummmm something ain’t right. Only thing I didn't like was when he was being interviewed at the station the detectives asked him if his wife hurt the children and then did he hurt his wife. I get why they asked to maybe get some acknowledgement of involvement and get him talking. He runs with that storyline but then pleas out to all three to avoid the DP. We all know he was full of it but could have ended badly for prosecution if he stayed solid on that story.

Can only imagine what the Ramsey house was like on the day of arrest, especially when you're called out for a missing child and may not be thinking to be as evidence focussed an sealing off the scene.
