As Contra Mundum said - nobody will be reading him in 10 years.

Peterson is essentially a clarification and erudite logical extension of Jung /Neumann

45 million views suggests he has hit a fertile vein

Your vomit yesterday sufficiently proved you have zero understanding of the content and possibly not even the capability due to patent indoctrination.

The da Vinci Code outsold Catcher in the Rye and To Kill a Mockingbird.

Hillsong continues to fleece acolytes.

Deepak Chopra continues to get paid to speak.

People continue to vote LNP.

Cats are considered great pets.

Milo thingymabob actually sold tickets to people who wanted to see him live.

None of this is relevant. You have been reported for trolling.

Hate, hate, hate including cats?

In the TDS thread and other left v right threads, I excuse the contempt directed towards an entire demographic class as part and parcel of vigorous debate; there is no denying that Trump is a polarising and controversial figure, and left v right arguments will always degenerate from time to time.

Occasionally, I have considered and suggested there might be something more pathological to this maliciousness. But It's appearance here is something sufficiently different, that it strikes me as confirmation of an undeniable underlying pathology.

Unlike Trump or other provocative speakers, Peterson has never clumsily made any racist or sexist opinions. He does not extol extreme right wing pro-business ideology. Rather he provides strong justification for limiting wealth excess and a clear and legitimate role for the progressive movement.

From a political perspective, Peterson is harmless. The political in his ideas is limited to his critique of Post Modern Ideology. There really is no other reason for anyone to find him of political interest because aside from his critique of PoMo he stays within the limits of his academic field and promotes a particular but not illegitimate strand of Jungian ideas.

The question I am grappling with is that at rock bottom - post modernism is merely a projection of self loathing.

Never understood how the little darlings thought safe spaces and trigger warnings could possibly result in more resilient and healthier minds.

Generation Snowflake.
You know trigger warnings are about letting people know about the content so they can make up their own mind, yeah? So they can manage their own lives.

Self-reliance and all that.

Why deny people information about the images and text they are about to see?

When has it ever affected you or anyone you know in any way at all?

It's not about hate, it's about some objectively worse things getting more attention than some much better things.

Therefore size of audience doesn't tell us a lot about quality or value or merit.

If you didn't understand that, ask the person who helps you switch on your computer.

It's a facade of self-reliance and all that, because they don't work. That's what the latest studies are concluding.

An ideologically possessed post modernist sprouting objectivity?

I dare you to apply that objectivity with any consistency towards gender identity for example.

List of 12 More Rules:

1. Do not carelessly denigrate social institutions or creative achievement

2. Imagine who you could be, and then aim single-mindedly at that

3. Work as hard as you possibly can on at least one thing and see what happens

4. Do not hide unwanted things in the fog

5. Abandon ideology

6. Notice that opportunity lurks where responsibility has been abdicated

7. Chief, the greatest Admin in history is a leftist sell out.

8. Try to make one room in your house as beautiful as possible

9. If old memories still make you cry, write them down carefully and completely

10. Plan and work diligently to maintain the romance in your relationship

11. Be grateful in spite of your suffering

12. Do not allow yourself to become resentful, deceitful, or arrogant

Massive (financially rewarding) hissy fit over changing social landscape.
Talk to any psychologist or psychiatrist and they will tell you that "avoidance" will make any anxiety or phobia worse. The only way to conquer an irrational fear is to be exposed to the subject of said fear. Hence safe spaces and the like will only lead to poorer outcomes.

If that was what you were talking about.

And Jordy has made a monumental effort to avoid facing his fears, and exhorting his followers to do the same.
