No matter how in love you are, never assume that things can't turn sour. Get a prenup if you have more assets than your mrs, even if not married. Glad to help m8.

Trusts.

I know nothing about this kind of finance law. Could an ex spouse not make a claim to a portion of a trust? They can get your super.

You are the trustee and other parties are the beneficiaries. You just control the trust on their behalf.

If the "HALF!" day arrives, then you just point out that X is half of something you don't own, then open the door for them.

At what point in the relationship do you advise asking for a prenup?

I can imagine you wandering aimlessly through a D&D ball asking every second person to sign up.
The time is when you're moving in together. Until then she is visiting the theme park of life on your +1 VIP ticket

If I had significantly more assets than my gf, I'd ask for some form of contract once we moved in together. De facto marriages are a bitch man, trust me.

Currently engaged and defacto married to a sheila, but we're both broke so it's all good m8.

You buy property in trusts. Legally no body can take or sue the trust for the assests.
If you run a business, buy all of your assets within the trust.

Colloquial use of terms has to be just as relevant when discussing social interactions
Tef is always banging on about the dumbing down of science by tabloid media to sell s**t.

As if he is above it somehow, instead of taking part directly like in this thread.

Personally I think it sounds ignorant. Well ... reads ignorant. The people you are talking about are ranked like Omega, or at least Gamma, ie well down the heirarchy. At least call them sub-Betas, which is what they are. (Or Beta subs if we're talking about FireKrakouer.) You could make people smarter or stupider using the same subject matter and here we are making people stupider.

Which brings me back to Jordan Peterson, cos he popularised this particular take yeah. Surely he should have known beta? Why didn't he familiarise himself with the subject before he began banging on about it? Isn't this the very thing he whinges about? The diminishing of Western culture, in this case science, and our ability to understand the world on rational accurate terms.

It seems he's happy to dump all that in the bin to sell stuff.

The Family Court will generally look through trust arrangements. If the assets held in the trust were acquired during the marriage then the Court is likely to consider the assets of the trust as part of the marital property pool.

Even if the assets in the trust were settled before the marriage, then the court would still consider the assets in the trust as a 'financial resource' of the trustee - and they would be taken into account as an adjustment to the division of the non-trust assets (family home etc.).

Citation required here. You're making bold claims that even modern medicine is yet to address.

It's not all about "evolution". 2 points:

- Most suicides are young men aged 20 - 30. Even at the lower end, that's plenty of time to have reproduced.

- Society has changed so much that traditional Darwinism no longer makes sense. Compare the pug with the wolf. My guess is the extra screen time millennials have had. Instead of reading books, going out and socialising, we play crappy video games and abuse people on bf. That's nothing to do with biology, it is evolution that has moved too quickly.

You must argue LGBT people should have been left behind by evolution?
Bold claims?

just look at the success rate of cognitive behaviour therapy in treating serious depression. It works 50 -75 percent of the time and most of the ones it doesn’t work for are people who are simply unwilling or unable to change their world view. I.e. if you change your mind using the theory it works In almost everyone. A simple google search can find numerous results here. the Success of cbt is widely accepted.

everything else just follows logically when Combined with the basics of evolutionary psychology which is also overwhelmingly successful in explaining the human mind and behaviour.

evolution theory does not claim that all biological traits occur because they are evolutionary successful. Many traits exist simply because the hitched a ride with other successful traits and they werent unsuccessful in promoting genes.

clearly being gay or bisexual is one of these traits. As long as man and women were willing to desire sex enough it doesn’t really matter if those urges for some of the population weren’t aimed at the opposite success. As long as the majority were then it’s fine. Evolutionary psychology does however suggest that being gay ismy solely a genetic outcome as modern lefties propose. It suggests environmental factors including culture probably also play a large role.

1) Naturally I was referring to pre-relationship existing assets
2) The family court can do all manner of things with badly set out arrangements.

That's because a lot of Trump's policies while not socialist were certainly protectionist.
Liberal left right politics is over. It's based on form an identity and tribe and conform to their dictates. It's about proving your a better person than your ideas.
I don’t get the last sentence. Proving you‘re a better person than your ideas. Can you elaborate?

Everyone knows this just like if some evolutionary traits aren't checked it leads to chaos.
The debate is about how you corral men and women's different evolutionary traits to create a harmonious society.
You want a harmonious society then you just create a big brother dictatorship like China where failure to live up to the social values of the government leads to criminal punishment And any form of protest is also criminalised. everyone acts harmonious under those circumstances Regardless of the gender structure.

Seeking a harmonious society isnt the end goal.

Read for yourself - with all applicable case-law cited.

Regardless of the complexity of the arrangement, if you control the trust (as trustee), it will be considered by the court to be a 'financial resource' of the trustee - and will be taken into account as an adjustment to the division of the non-trust assets (family home etc.).

Then we have different ideas on harmonious.
Perhaps a better word would be little disenfranchisement as possible and as inclusive as possible.
Dictatorships like China still benefit a few so they can enforce. Their middle class or rich certainly back their social credit system. The Ungurs may have a different opinion on harmony in China.
