Genuine question- does Duncan being out for an extended period leave a spot on a wing for Clark?
If so, he’s probably got a good chance to cement his spot in the seniors. I don’t see him leaving for money, just oppurtunity.
One of the major reasons that Geelong can retain and recruit talent is that you are making finals every year.It puts Clark in the mix and he should expect to play more games heading into the finals. Plus we will probably manage a few players now we are in a good spot ladder wise.

If Clark isn’t playing in finals, and West Coast and Fremantle offer more money and perm spot in the 22, then he is very gettable.
Smith's contract is basically maybe 35 games of which there'll be 24 left at seasons end and at his age you wouldn't think he'd play all of them. Smith won't be on the list when Clark is oocSmith has only played 13 games and is contracted for two seasons. Menegola is 29 so not going anywhere in the next year or two.
Clark is a young player so can be expected to bide his time, but can see why someone in his position would get itchy feet.
Trade for CCJRichmond currently hold St Kilda's 2nd Round pick which is looking like #25/#26 range
I would happily trade that for Clark and be smiling all night and all week about that trade
Kid will be a player
I rather keep CjTrade for CCJ
Bachar replacement .Sure....but at present he would not be playing in Richmond's side for the same reasons he isn't in Geelong's side.
when out of contract. ..what one rather's sometime is not the most important factor.I rather keep Cj
Key Position fwds take longer to develop that HBF
Which means he goes there to replace a player the same age as he is replacing at the cats. Why?Bachar replacement .
Most likely Bachar willWhich means he goes there to replace a player the same age as he is replacing at the cats. Why?
Most likely or will?Which Cat will retire next year ?
Most likely Bachar will
That depends on who you speak to and their viewsMost likely or will?
How is this any different to the cats position? That depends on who you speak to and their views
Astbury & Houli looking tired and may pull the pin and some rumours that our Captain could also
He is.He is definitely gettable anyway IMO. But he is contracted.
Would not begrudge him wanting out, but he is training buddies with Joel Selwood, is learning his role directly from a future hall of famer in Smith, will still be starting 22 for maybe 15 to 25 games of the 35ish remaining until he's OOC.He is.
The Cats didn’t let Kelly go either and I expect that with Clark.
My bet is that Clark will stay regardless if he wants a trade or not.
Training buddies not issue. Fyfe and Mundy are great examples to young kids.Would not begrudge him wanting out, but he is training buddies with Joel Selwood, is learning his role directly from a future hall of famer in Smith, will still be starting 22 for maybe 15 to 25 games of the 35ish remaining until he's OOC.
Then he's ooc at a point where the cats can put a decent dollar value under his contract and he's guaranteed starting 22 for the rest of his career. You also have an extra year to get a read on freo, though I think they're a 2022 finals side personally. There's side benefits.
Yeah not sure I'd be choosing west coast over freo if I'm him. Not that west coast are a bad choice but I think he'd suit a wing there pretty well and there's a solid group of early drafted talent all coming through together.Training buddies not issue. Clark next year will be best 22 for the Cats. So you make a great point.
Sure he can learn from Smith but Smith is keeping him out of the team.
Fremantle weakest link is the wing and Clark fills that role.
Geelong won’t trade a player at this lowest value and will wait a year hoping that Clark has a break out year in 2022.
Then they will have a bidding war between Fremantle and the dirty birds.
As for side benefits, Dale Alcock Homes vs Simmons Homes, Fremantle pub vs Geelong pub and land development in Geelong vs Bullsbrook.
I have one condition, that if he asks for a trade, then ce'st la vie, but please can your fans be better than ours and spell his name right most of the time?Trades normally get done where both clubs supporters feel like they've lost the trade.
For Clarke, it feel like it's a trade for a pick in the 20-25 range.
Haha, I literally changed the way I was writing his name because everyone of your supporters was saying Clarke so I just assumed I was wrongI have one condition, that if he asks for a trade, then ce'st la vie, but please can your fans be better than ours and spell his name right most of the time?
Not everyone. Some of us just sit here with our eye twitching and an angry look on our facesHaha, I literally changed the way I was writing his name because everyone of your supporters was saying Clarke so I just assumed I was wrong

Which of your wingers/HBF will retire end of the year ? or even 2 yearsHow is this any different to the cats position?
