Why do people keep bringing up Pendles? He’s had his payday, he’s in his 30’s, and he’s set up for life already. He won’t be commanding big $ this time around. He’s almost irrelevant to the discussion.

Optimism is an abundant emotion this time of the season, however I don't share the same amount for your club either.
Same people in the next breath that say he is past it. Past it , but still worth big bucks apparently.

We have won twice as many flags as you in the last 50 years.
Including one against you when we were 27 points down at 3/4 time in the Granny.
Pendles might not be commanding the top tier $$$ but will still be getting $700k range money and wont be playing for peanuts, I would even go as far as to say that he could easily still get a 2 year deal at another club like Brisbane / Hodge

He’s already set up for life, he wants another premiership, not a couple of hundred K which is pocket change to him at this point.
So does 50% of the players that have played AFL but if you think players leave $$$ on the table because they are already set up your dreaming, Whilst he will always play for less at the Pies he is not playing for 400k mate
