I do believe The Godfather can provide a manual for life.

Currently I am working on "Leave the gun, take the cannoli"
One of the great lines in cinema.
And was improvised.

The line in the script was simply:
Leave the gun.

The actor just thought of the cannoli line as it were and went with it.
Francis Coppola liked it so much, that he left it in.

“Leave the gun; take the cannoli”

I see your point, though sorta disagree.

Alien is actually innovative, beautifully made, and shocking -- that dinner scene!

Aliens, lots of fun, maybe better paced and -- cool....
I agree with everything you said about Alien. I love it. Ridley Scott was hitting it out of the park at the time. Blade Runner is my favourite film.

Aliens is such a different movie in so many ways.

Basically I refuse to pick one over the other!

Godfather 1 or 2?
One of the more difficult questions in life.
Both superb but I think 2 is just a bit better.
Having said that 1 might be slightly better.
Hope that clears up the confusion.

Someone tweet JDG and ask him.
