De Goat type players win you flags. I think the supporters and even fellow players have more belief when they see him doing what he does. The players looked in awe on the field last night when he took the hanger and banged it through

It's a nice throw away line, and it feels right, but what are you basing it on. I can't think of too many really influential performances from forwards in recent Grand Finals - maybe Jarman. I can think of two standout Grand Final performances that Degoey should aspire to - Brereton and Ablett - both in losing teams.

For what it’s worth Del Santo has long had this complex about Collingwood.

Last year about 3/4 through the season they were doing a segment who would come into the 8 and who would leave the 8.

He said North will jump into the 8; Collingwood would drop out.

Last night he tipped Richmond.

Don’t recall him praising us too much.

But ultimately he’s just another media tart looking to earn a living. We don’t need him.

This is the same guy who was burning all summer at the thought of Dayne Beams joining us again...you could hear it in his voice.
