Yesterday was pathetic - the bloke is deadset taking us for a ride, he’s bent us over with every contract off the back of one good year.

Trade him for a 2022 first rounder and be done with it
We wouldn’t get a first round selection for him.

In all seriousness what do you guys think he is worth trade wise
and what is he on $$$ wise?
In all seriousness never to Carlton - I was around in the '70's and starkly remember the arrogance of a club and supporter base who had 2 EXTREMELY fortunate GF wins and acted like they were world beaters.

PSS OFF.

Atm a first rounder in the teens, he’s on around 750k till end of next season. A pick in the teens doesn’t really set us up, but the salary cap space is nice.
If we’re looking at a pick in the teens, re-sign him up until he becomes a FA. We’ll do better with the compo and get more mileage out of him to boot.

It's hard to see another team paying either of those atm.. Maybe North with pick 19..

We can’t afford to trade him though. He just re signed. If we were gonna trade him should’ve done it last year.

No. Had a poor game but that doesn’t justify trading him. Especially only in a scenario where we initiate. If his form doesn’t improve adjust our next offer. If he wants more, he’ll move as a FA. Let another club drive the move, we’ll have the option to match and force a trade, or accepting the compo.

He has had alot more than one poor game. In fact he has had very few games in his career that justify the hype and money he is on. He has from all reports had a super pre-season and is fitter than he has ever been and has played one good half of footy. Best finish in the copeland is 6th and every other finished has been outside the top 10. We need to face the facts that he is just an ordinary middle of the road footballer who occasionally lights it up. He is a 400 to 500k a year player.

So in other words, a poor man's Jake Stringer.

Another Derek Hine special it seems. 2006 draft is a long time ago now.

So you guys have finally realised how over rated he is. Jordan is lazy. He doesn’t chase and put pressure on.
It will take a new coach with a take ‘no prisoners’ attitude I think...
This coaching group too stale. May be his last contact at Pies.

There would be the fear that he could get the right type of words and relationship with a coach like Fagan and deliver on what he promises.

That fear has probably kept alot of players at clubs where they have held on to them beyond the point of getting good compensation for them.

There are also precendents like early problems with Dusty and Steve Johnson types who could have cost premierships if you had not persevered with them. You may not have made the 2018 GF without him. We might not have won any premierships without Dusty and Stevie J could have swung a premiership over to you.

Bucks seems like he doesn't like another bull in the paddock which makes it hard to bring in someone who could take a role like that.

I call bullsh1t , he has had ample chances on the ball this year and does sfa. Does not get enough of it, does not use it well enough and fumbles way too much. 8 years , 1 top 10 finish in the bnf and no top 5 finishes.

that’s a record for a player on 300k to 400k per year.

The numbers don’t lie, in anyone’s language he is a major disappointment!
He gets out on the ball for 10 minutes then we back out and put him full forward, needs to be put on the ball permanently for consecutive games.

I saw the replay of the game this afternoon. To me he looked very sluggish and lethargic.Perhaps I’m drawing a long bow here, but maybe he was still suffering the after effects from the concussion he had two weeks ago? This was clearly the worst game he’s played all year,so it might be some explanation for his performance.

He's already checked out. Have you been watching?
He is done. Stick a fork in him.
The quicker the club realises he ain't the person you want to build a Football team around the better. People compare him to Dusty, but let's be honest, he is an average footballer that does great things from time to time. A little like Jack Watts, plenty of ability but never comes to fruition.
Move him on while he is still worth something. No chance in hell would I offer him above $400k.

The problem is if we were to trade him we would be forced to pay some of his wages. Just like Treloar and the Doggies.
Our football department needs a good kick up the ass. De Goey and Grundy have both been Average once signing big contracts. I'd be offering 2-year contracts and no more. It seems signing players on long term deals ruins their form.
