Clarko probably only met Buddy so he could claim his holiday as a 'work related' trip with the ATO.

But it would be a pain in the ass. Ur on holiday and ur boss is hanging around.

Buddy was unhappy about something, whether it was L.A or something later, I don't know but wasn't the main reason I don't think.
Buddy was a true professional the way he handled his move to a rival. Club knew early on he was leaving but was kept quiet, think main reasons went was to be with his girlfriend who is now his wife and a big offer which club wasn't even close. Gave club time to prepare for for his departure.

Don't think Lewis is bitter at all, was offered 2 yrs to stay but took demons three yrs.
Initially shocked and disappointed to be put up for trade but club had second thoughts and offered two years to stay. Demon's trumped with three.
Lewis is now in the media with an opinion, that's what he gets paid for.
