196cm Jordan Lisle has recently been delisted by Brisbane. Do you think he could potentially be a player to fix our needs? I personally liked the look of him in the limited times I've seen him play and we need more bigs....

I think if we are to contend in the next few years we need to pull off some big recycled player steals; ala Hawks and Swans. It's too competitive and too many teams nowadays to rely purely on the draft. I know in recent years we've tried with recycled players and it may not be paying off yet with White/Armstrong but I think it is the correct route to explore.

Thoughts?

Couldn't cement a spot in Brisbane's forward line that was screaming out for a key forward. Didn't even trouble the scorers this year in his 5 games. He is a poor man's Jesse White.

Yeah, I think we are done with these types of potentially filling players as forwards. You get what you pay for there. The only positions I'd look at is another tagger and maybe a key back who can teach our youngsters abit through their experience.

Last time I saw him play was against Geelong last year and he was fantastic. Took a lot of contested marks when the game was on the line.

EDIT: 4 contested marks and 3 goals

He was playing as a back in those games, but I wouldn't disagree with the sentiment here that much

even worse! a forward was needed and he was put in the backline..
Cheers for the heads up though! and hands off Dayne!! ;)
It was at the start of the year when we still had brown playing though (I think).

In his support he did play quite well as the main target at the end of last year when Brown was missing, and a few were calling to give him a last try this year. But he seemed to have fallen out of favour by the end of the season as we preferred to try the other youngsters (and Paine over him)

Credit to Hawthorn, they got maximum value for him. They let him go and effectively brought Ceglar in. You have to admire their list management and development.

Jordan's changing clubs don't have a real good record do they?
McMahon, Russell, Lisle, Bannister.

Enough evidence for me.
Just to add, Michael's move to the White Sox.
