Jordan McMahon Is a shocker

Had a shocker today but has been very good more often than not this year. Has easily justified his trade value based on his contribution over the course of the year.
McMahon should ask for 32 next year as he seems to have replaced Tivendale as the whipping boy of the RFC.

Seemed like he was starting to come good in the middle of the year...but has easily been our worst of late ,today was just laughable...shocking trade decision...ten times worse than any drafting stuff up because his mediocrity had been tried and tested for 7 years prior to this , unlike some an unproven kid... to think we could've had a Selwood instead of this dopey soft twat...:thumbsd:

Really? I thought trading was to fix list needs.
And McMahon has filled a gaping hole in our list that has existed since Leon Cameron retired - someone who can hit a target coming out of defence with a 40-50 metre pass. Sure we'd all prefer a hardnut like Luke Hodge doing it, but that would cost a hell of a lot more than pick 19.

The problem is, he cant hit a target with a 15 metre pass, never mind a 40-50 metre pass.

It was a nothing trade when we still had Newman and Bowden as sensational field kickers. Raines and now Tambling are both better half back flankers than McMahon will ever be. :thumbsu:

7 clangers out of 12 disposals. Silky skills indeed. Regarding structure he offers nothing.

He was signed on a 3 year deal for $1 mill+, he is at Richmond to stay you will have to get used to his fumbling, turnovers and soft efforts as bulldogs did for the years he played for us

God dammit.. He got a game everyweek at Dogs when TERRY coached, And the same is happenin here... We could of atleast blowen the money on the Pokies..

My only complaint of McMahon at the doggies was that he couldn't hit a target under pressure. He's good enough for teams 22 and that's what's frustrating about him.

What about the pathetic defensive efforts. What about the unaccountability in defense. What about using a top 10 pick on him!

He was poor today, and needs to show more in ordert to hold his place in this exciting Tiger outfit.

I thought he was a great pickup at the beginning of the season, but it now appears that the sides' rapid progress has passed him by.

He needs to step up, or step aside - it's been made clear to all players that there is no room for passengers at Richmond.

Well done to TW and the selection commitee for ensuring that all spots in the side are keenley fought for and deservedly earned :thumbsu:

Has had a reasonable year and has contributed far more than your usual first year Pick 19 would have. But today he was appalling - by far his worst performance in Richmond colours.

Wont be dropped or traded because of cognitive dissonance.
for those who have never studied psychology, Terry has invested heavily in McMuffin and seeing him fail would make him uncomfortable as there is a discrepancy between beliefs (McMahon is a tough, skillful star) and reality (soft, loose and prone to clangers). Thus Terry will continue to play him and heavily applause his good kicks while deluding himself into thinking that his decision was justified.

Sounds like Al Gore.

7 Clangers out of 12 possessions.

3 Frees against.

0 Tackles.

4 goals kicked on him by direct opponent.

Woo...woo...woo....backup.
When I raised the issue of Tambling's 8 clangers a while back I was shouted down.
Face reality, McMahon has had more effective run & carry, and link balls than Tambling that have ACTUALLY helped the team.

Again today Tambling the down hill skier looked alright getting a kick loose on the Southern Stand wing when we'd done all the hard work already.

Let Jordy have one off day.
Tambling's hidden under 70 odd.

Stop the double standards.

And for the guy that posted early asking if Jordy was Terry's 'Pet Project'.....see the light brother.
Terry 'Pet Project' is the downhill skier, one arm tackler, run hard offensively, gear down & cheat defensively, get loose to get an easy kick, can't drop him cause I overlooked 'Buddy'....... R.I.C.H.A.R.D. T.A.M.B.L.I.N.G.

Smell the Richie Bling roses will you.

When did I shout you down? I am more likely to have agreed with you at the time, because Tambling has been disappointing this year as well.

Sorry beav....meant the general reflection based on Jordy's clangers today & Bling past ignored ones. Didn't mean it to pin you. Anyone could of raised the clangers on Jody. That was the gist of the 'hang Jordy on one game' thread.
Apologies Beaver.
