Looking at the highlights on the news it appeared that way. I was sitting behind the Melbourne cheersquad end & couldn't hardly hear the siren all day. It was like it wasn't working down that end.

McMahon - 2 effective kicks for the day, only one mattered.

I remember when we beat the Dogs in 2007. I was happy for maybe a couple of hours, but 2 years on and we wouldn't have to worry about the NikNat vs Watts debates because we would of had them both! if we had lost.

Its common sense to lose these kind of games and our coach obviously thinks as much!

Just because you get a good pick doesn't mean they will be a good player. The draft is a lottery, win some loose some. Brisbane had pick 7 and have the best player (currently) at their club from last years draft.

The pies used their first pick on Sidebottom and 2nd on Beams... Currently Beams looks the better player.

Just because you have number 1 and 2 doesn't mean you're going to win a flag from it. Try telling your players today 'don't worry guys, we get pick 1 and 2 today because you lost'.. They would probably spit in your face.

Your right, selwood and rich were both taken at 7 and are stars.. but it's not about that 1 pick, it's about have that priorty pick and then pick 1!! That extra star player, in the long run could be the difference between playing in GF or finishing 3rd. short term pain, long term gain. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

As a supporter I don't want to see my team tank, and I definitely don't want them to play against a tanking team. I want to go to the game and know where my team sits, after todays match I have a warped sense of any real form. I should feel elated after a win like that but on a whole it's tainted because for the last 5 minutes I was thinking about how much Bailey was trying to manufacture a loss. Demetriou is a loser.

While I was glad to win, I felt embarrassed that we took it off a team that out-played us and deserved the win.

And you're right, Ricky and Grimey were brilliant for us today. McDonald showed exactly why he's been captain this year too IMO.

Amen to that 2007 - there is an unhealthy lot of comments being made around our board by a FEW people, but the vast majority of us have always felt the same way you do about that.
