Do i really need to spell it out?

Pointing out 3 specific instances of play over 2 seasons of football (ie running with the flight, winning a hard ball... all of which should be commonplace and occur several times in a game) only serves to highlight the inadequacies in ones game.

Put it this way, you'll never see someone pointing out the time Mark Ricciuto put his head over the ball, or the time Simon Black gave a good handball under pressure. It's the standard they go by... it happens over and over again.

I tend to think Jordan Russell has had enough opportunities to prove himself. Given what he has shown so far i'm not really a believer. Squad player at best and mostly in the future.

The exception will prob be next year as his contract is coming up for renewal. This is usually the time when players with skill and potential decide to put it all on the line. If they dont, they risk the end of their career.

His best year will be, or prob should be 2008. After that, more of the same unless he can make a decent directional change in focus!

PS I don' think he is soft, but I do think he lacks some of the hardness required to be one of the better players.

Exactly my point, goose. I could reel off a thousand great passages of play Judd has been in... the fact that someone has to point out some obscure, random piece of play by Jordan Russell in round 17, 2005 to support their argument that he's worth his salt, means they're clutching at straws.
