Why do you find it neccessary to bag every single comment I make? I'm just going to keep reporting you to the mods in the hope that you'll get off my back, and let me enjoy my time on this board.

You're pretty good at handing it out but can't cop it back. Off you go to mummy.............again.

Come on dude back off ..

It's getting ridiculous now ..
AWG doesn't deserve all the crap that you are giving her, she is a great and intelligent member of this forum, and makes a lot of great and intelligent and thoughtful posts, but you constantly seem to just bait her all the time, without any rational reason whatsoever ...

Just forget about past grudges and start 2008 on a positive note ...

It's only a bit of banter in the off season till something interesting comes along. We annoy each other a little, don't know why she gets so steamed up. Seems she's happy to play when in the mood but when she's not I'm the stalker from hell. Oh well. Call in the ref. Roll out the finger wagging.

Who said i'm happy to "play" your little game of belittling? You can laugh all you want at me going to the mods, but i'll do it time and time again because everyone has a right to enjoy posting on this board.

And you know what, I'm not content on being your little side-project until something better comes along. Go and find something else to play with in the off-season. There is a whole board of Collingwood posters for you to go and play with, why find the need to have constant "banter" with a fellow Blue, no matter how different their views are??

Man if someone started making insulting/crude remarks to every single comment I post on this site, I think I'd be getting a little freaked out as well ...

Why don't you just try and focus on the Carlton footy club and season 2008, instead of trying to score cheap points against (IMHO) one of the better posters on the Carlton board ????

There is nothing to be gained by your constant sniping at AWG ...

Russell will be a part of our next premiership side.

I can see him becoming a similar player to Clape who played a vital role in our 20 and two side with his role as a defensive HFF who could convert a chance in front of goal. I think JR could become a better player than Clape because he has good hands in close and good acceleration off the mark, so he will move on ball in games to give our starting mids a chop out when they need a rest.

ridiculous.

ridiculous.
Because Clape was a superstar and walk up start at the WCE and didn't leave because he couldn't get a game? ;)

JR has all the tools to be a good HFF for Carlton and that's just your opinion which hasn't been backed with any comments. Russell would have developed faster if he had been played up the ground and encouraged to take them on at every opportunity and use his pace and skill. The likes of Kennedy and Russell were dragged as soon as they made a mistake and had their confidence destroyed by Pagan.

Russell wanted out at the end of 2005.

Pagan had no idea what to do with him and was a poor coach if the player wasn't ready made like Murphy. Both Kennedy and Russell looked like different players and more confident when they knew Ratten would leave them on the ground. He was terrific against Collingwood in round 18 playing HFF, has serious speed when he puts the foot down and isn't soft after two centre clearances where Cornes and Wilson were contesting the ball.

JR doesn't shit himself and avoid tackles when he has to go.

Russell's clearance from the defensive 50 followed by a Simmo like run down the ground and brave spoil in our come back were brilliant efforts that contributed to our win. I couldn't care less what players drafted after him do as long as he contributes each week and plays like he did in round 18.

People who think he's soft and a dud talent have no idea.

I just hope at the end of 2008 if Russell still hasnt done anything (besides one decent game as per your example), you will be replacing Pagan's name with Ratten's just to be fair.

The coach is not the only attribute when it comes to average players whom dont live up to expectation.

because clape was an extremely well performed player for the WCE when they had an absolute powerhouse of a side, and was a valued premiership player for the blues in 1995, in one of (if not THE) best sides to ever play the game of AFL.

im not too sure jordan russell is in your best 22.even though judd stevens and other guys are coming to the club [or back from injury]russell still has a chance because of vacant positions from retirees or out of form players it will be tough though:)

He does actually, is like a rabbit caught in headlights when he gets the ball with pressure on!
He didn't when under pressure in the game against Port at TD and clean grabbed the ball in the middle when names like C.Cornes and Wilson tried to put him off in separate plays. Russell mucked up in 2006 with two dropped marks against the Cats, but then ran back hard with the flight to take a very brave contested mark and is still an improving player. I don't think you pay much attention or you've already made up your mind with your opinion of Russell after just 29 games.

More and more Carlton supporters have a yellow stripe on the back of their Navy Blue jumper with the way they're criticising our young players and expect a Judd with every early selection.

I expect it from the trolls, but not Carlton supporters.

The respect for Clape was so great he was delisted and picked up in the PSD after being overlooked by at least a dozen clubs who had a pick before Carlton. There were alot of re-treads in that team who took the most of their second chance when they walked into a great team and had a easier ride than Jordy.

i agree with the general on this one, jordan as a heap of talent just needs belief from the coaching stuff and time, something pagan never gave him. he does fumble at times but his a kid would do you expect, i think his fantastic on a lead really hits the ball hard and his disposal is very godo to hurt the opposition, he does make bad decisions but again its his only played 29 games many of which he only had 5 to 10 mins of game time, his also shown he can kick a goal. i think this boy will be important to our team!

So my opinion doesnt count? Fair enough. Having said that, we have finished 16th, 16th and 15th the last 3 years. There are some players on our list that just arent up to it. I am actually not criticising JR with my thoughts, plenty of players just arent good enough to make it at AFL level. IMO, JR is one of them.

But dont have a crack at me re my thoughts on our players. I am always fair in my judgments, and would never criticise them for having a crack.

The mere fact that you are able to pull out specific examples of passages of play where he has done something good, means that it doesn't happen very often.
