Kobe is a decentish copy of Jordan after Jordan's first retirement. Not as good but closer than anyone else. Kobe isn't a patch on Jordan in the first threepeat era, Kobe just doesn't have the ability/desire to make teams stop him around the basket. He's just too in love with his jumpshot.

i don't care if there is 123 active players, Jordan would not let that happ ever, kobe is to in love with his outside game, no shaq to protect him anymore, kobe a hack and most overrated player i have ever seen, jordan was, still and always will be the king!

im sick of people using team based stats when comparing players. MJ had a better side than kobe has now - or his TEAM has a better mentality to win. Its a team game, i don't care how good people think one player is, he cannot win a game single handedly.
Kobe's 2004 squad was much better than any of MJ's

On talent, I don't think anyone would claim that Malone/Shaq/Payton was worse than Kukoc/Rodman/Pippen or Grant/Pippen
I'll claim it. The 2004 versions of Malone/Shaq/Payton weren't as good as Kukoc/Rodman/Pippen in 1996, for example.

I'd argue the values of Pippen and an unmotivated Shaq are pretty similar, and Rodman is the clear 3rd best player there.

support cast blah blah blah, Jordan won 6 rings with avg talent, geez he even made Longley look avg when he was a pathetic player, Kobe is ego driven and no team player and can't handle the big games, 3 rings were all thanks to shaq thats 4sure, tell me jordan and Shaq would of ever lost that detroit series or Jordan would blow a 24pnt lead at home in a game 4, Kobe pfft, please enough of this joke.

2004 Shaq is the best of all those players, followed by Pippen.

But I'd take the 2004 Malone over the 1997 Rodman.
