At this point he is gone, to the dogs
Doubt it's a done deal or even close to it.

Dogs went cold on him and came at Mark Keane so you can bet that wouldn5 have impressed Jordan or his manager.

I am very surprised that we are not hearing North putting their hat ion the ring. He is the type of player that they lack and would improve them. Good lock down talls that can take the opposition big key forwards are thin on the ground and with one being an UFA, its contract only which should make him all the more attractive to sides

(Caveat - I don;t want to lose him at all)

If hes keen on us it'll be interesting to see what happens. Adelaide are a chance at Bailey, no? And we may lose Khamis as a FA. May mean we send a token pick for him to not dilute any FA compo.

North did try last year and I think Twomey has alluded to how we're probably trying again this year.

Why do the crows do that though for a token pick so dogs get a better one?

Crow are better to demand a 2nd rd pick just after what the dogs will get for Kahmis.

Dogs get their 2nd rd pick upgraded and crows get another 2nd, maybe throw a 33rd back.

Otherwise crows saying no to the trade and you need to get him as a ufa and lose the compo for Kamis.

if there is no player separately going from blues to crows then the crows have zero reason to be difficult, given they're either getting something for Butts or getting nothing for Butts

Exactly. It's basically creating an extra pick linked to Khamis and sending a chunk of the value to Adelaide. We may get a second rounder and then send a 3rd rounder to Adelaide.

If the crows don't get Bailey, then they probably prefer the Butts compo pick than helping the dogs out to get a pick for Kamis and get a token pick themselves

Yeah of course. Was just saying if they got Bailey it'd be a rare one where we could work together to create extra value.

Anyway, looks like its not happening now. Wonder if we will take another shot at Keane.

Any source to say Butts will stay?

Keane isn't going anyanywhere, I'd say Murray is the one to look at.
