Can someone tell me where he's going to play
Most likely at Sandy for a year or 2,
He is ripping kid glad he is a Saint

I should rephrase my question - How will he fit into our side
Same as any other kind of depth player does.
Coverage for injury and push for selection in the VFL.

We have no key forwards playing at Sandy so it is definitely needed.

Did we select him simply for depth or did we select him to play consistently in the senior side (whether it be next year or in 3 years).

What I am saying is IMO we have enough forwards. I didn't think we needed another one. How are you going to fit Battle into a side of McCartin Membrey Bruce? The only other option for him is for Richo to develop him into a midfielder - and with his nous infront of goal, a goal kicking midfielder. He's 192cm so can play in the mids, so that scenario is possible. I jsut can't see them all playing in the same forward line.

Might be stocking up on Key forwards for currency later.

It´s not uncommon for tall players that start forward to move to defense. Sam Fisher comes to mind. Too early to call.
Depth, Currency, different roles. Not bad to have options here. I would be fine if we got him at 25

Pretty much just staring at this thread title to keep myself calm. God damn VFL player at 25 and a rookie prospect at 56... But we've still got Battle, it's all fine, we have Battle! *deep breathing*

Paddy could have a Jarryd Allen type injury on Monday's training session, and suddenly Battle is our best "young" key forward.

Draft for talent, trade for position.

Exactly , until now we had no backup in our forward line.
