Squiggle tips Demons at 77% chance -- What's your tip? -- Team line-ups »
Caddy and Graham could both be sacked tomorrow for taking a s**t in public and Richmond would still have won from this trade. Both were important in building a dynasty and winning 3 flags. Not sure how 2/3rds of the votes are for Richmond winning this trade?
We won this trade easily.
I mean Caddy can't get a game at Richmond who just finished 12th and is the definition of a list clogger.
The only reason Caddy is still on Richmond's list is because he has no trade value, no other club would be remotely interested in him and he provides depth in a side that has depth as shallow as a wading pool.
Graham looked decent when Richmond were winning as Hardwick was able to give him jobs such as tagging opposition midfielders and focusing on blocking for Dusty around stoppages.
Graham is the type of player who every coach loves as is the perfect example of a player who gets given coaches awards because he tries his guts out every week and can fill roles the coach asks him to fill without fuss, but he is a plodder and a role player at best.
Neither Caddy nor Graham will be on an AFL list for much longer as Richmond return to mediocrity Hardwick is going to cut Caddy by the end of next year if Caddy doesn't retire seeing as though he'll be 30 next year, while Graham is going to be pushed out of the side as he'll be a liability in a Richmond side that's mediocre and not winning games. Both players are list cloggers and have already reached what was a low ceiling.
Parfitt and Narkle on the other hand are both solid A graders with Parfitt at A grade level while Narkle isn't far off reaching A grade level.
Parfitt and Narkle are both going to be A grade players for many years to come and there is literally no way anyone can say Richmond won this trade, the fact Caddy wanted out of Geelong to play with his mate Prestia at Richmond was a massive blessing for us as we definitely wouldn't have Parfitt if had Caddy stayed at our club and who knows what we would have done with our 4th round pick which is what we used to draft Narkle with.

Caddy and Graham are both dual premiership players. Graham would be 3x if he hadn't done his shoulder (and heroically played out the game) in the 2019 prelim belting of *checks notes* Geelong.
Parfitt is routinely vying with Rohan and Stagerflop for worst on ground every time Geelong is flogged in the finals by *checks notes* Richmond. Or Melbourne. Or whoever else they play in not a semi final. Narkle sits in the stands.
How is this poll even as close as it is???

There's no reason Geelong can't be happy too with their players and it's a win win, but Richmond will always be a winner from this regardless of Geelong's players' careers.
No. You missed the point.Interesting logic.
Going by your logic:
Marlion Pickett > Gary Ablett Snr
No. You missed the point.
The individual players might end up being great for Geelong, that's got nothing to do with the trade outcome for Richmond though.
The trade will always be a win for Richmond, given the critical role those players played in leading to Premierships.
Graham kicks 3 goals and tags out Sloane in the 2017 GF, a move that turned the game in the second quarter for example. Caddy all through that 2017 year was a crucial addition, kicked key goals, provided a strong marking target support, always took the best option and used the ball well.
Geelong may get some very good players from this deal, which they would also consider it a win. Thus this trade can be a win for both clubs.
However regardless of the outcome for Geelong, this trade will always be a win for Richmond given those players impact on the dynasty.
