Happy enough with the trade, essentially replaced as that high HF/Mid with Menegola who was better than any season Josh had with us, got a promising youngster out of it too.

This never takes long.

Take a solid role player, add a Premiership medallion, and all of a sudden he becomes massively overrated.

Josh is a good player, he had a good year, probably not his best year, but close. Richmond obviously are very happy with this trade, Geelong would be too. Caddy isn't a "missing piece" type player, he's a nice complementary piece when everything else is working well.

Yep - remember people were saying similar things about Will Langford and Taylor Duryea a few years ago.

This could be a turning point for Caddy but let's reserve judgement for a while. Same with Prestia - it was Richmond supporters only a few months ago crucifying their recruiters for trading him in.

I always liked him, but word from the club is that he was a real dickhead. Cracked it when scooter joined because he wanted to play midfield.

Lambert is probably our most offensively damaging player after Dusty. Insanely underrated.

In the entire league he had the 5th most goal assist, 17th most inside 50s and 18th most score involvements.

He's a ******* spud. You can put a premiership medal on him but he's still a spud.

He had a good enough game in the GF, didn't rack it up in huge numbers, but he went at 83% DE, equal with only Dustin Martin in the tigers side, he is hardly a spud.

A pretty good contested mark aswell, brings the ball to ground and strongly buolt.. Exactly the player we need when we only have 1 tall.

I was surprised Geelong let him go, but that was because he is only 25 and is a player they brought in from Gold Coast.

He was a handy role player at Geelong and is a handy role player at Richmond. Really not much to see here.

I didn't realise until this year what a horrible kick for goal he is. Good on him and good on Richmond, it seems they have gotten what they required out of him. We were all hoping he would step up and become an A grader but it never happened and probably never will happen. Mitch Duncan and Caddy seemed to be at the same stage in their development when Caddy joined the club but Mitch went past Caddy, when Mitch broke his leg last year we needed Caddy to step up but he just couldn't. Hopefully it ends up being 1 of those trades that is win win.
