There points in that last quarter where I swear I was watching Selwood take it out of the centre.
Absolute gun, future leader.

Agreed except from the half back line :D

We have 3 in particular who I think are our next generation leaders and each of them could easily be Captain. Guthrie, Caddy and although I have doubts on his ability I don't doubt his leadership GHS.

lol catatonic shock. How long do you have to have that horrible tag thingy? kudos on you for not welching on your bet but its a bloody horrible read lol.

If i was geelong id be bringing in Caddy to any interviews we have for young talent looking to change clubs and have him explain why his move to us was a great decision.

I heard him this morning.
I really liked the way he evaluated his season.

Definitely seems to have the desire to be as good as he can be.

Thought he sounded like a 22 year old footy player. Had a great break, looking to get back into the groove, happy to punch a few of mates square in the goolies and was humble enough to admit that he made some mistakes last year. The best part for me was hearing that he took his lumps, took the advice of the coaches , went back the magoos to get better then saw the fruits of the labour and seasons end. Looking forward to him taking up some of the slack in the MF this year and seeing more of that bullish clearance stuff we saw last year.

I really think that he can make that compo pick swap for him a fantastic trade.

When I think of Caddy I think of Mitch Duncan, next year we're looking at him being about there, 20+ disposals almost every week.
Reminds me a little of Nathan Buckley. :thumbsu:
Now if Billie Smedts would extract the digit things will be looking ok!

meto, Caddy will be a better player than Duncan, he's the next Bartel of the competition :)
Tough, marks overhead and is a thumping kick, has it all and should rip it up on the training track this summer.

How do I split em?......sounds like you've have noticed the big talent of Caddy also!.... I'm amazed some haven't.
The great thing is they're both getting better, even Duncan is still developing.

Billie lift your act.

Yup, Caddy will develop into something special, he's still so young. When I think of the way he plays the ferocity reminds me of Selwood.
There's something about him that reminds me of Selwood also :thumbsu:

For me, I think it's his desperation around the ball. May not have the 'silky' skills yet, but he'll get there.

I also noticed toward the end of the season when his confidence had improved, he was the guy who encouraged and congratulated younger team-mates whenever they involved themselves in the play. Potential leader I think (as long as no more hooded hold up pranks ;) )

One of my favourites for sure :)

Good point. There was a lot of noise about getting Adams to help Selwood but the best solution for him may have already been under our noses...

Sorry to intrude but just can't help but say he reminds me of Chapman. Big body, strong through the core, angry and knows how to kick an important goal. One champion leaves but you got another future champion who has the potential to fill them big shoes.

I say this belatedly but you guys got a good one.

Id put it both are good young players , so both are wins for the club they are now at. Who is better is a bit unimportant as trade, bit more relevant if it was the choice in a draft.

Yeah! What the hell happened to stitching a number or two on the back of Old Woolly?

Strange but there are big things either seen for Caddy or wished they could be accomplished in 2014.

I am in the middle ground here. I am hoping by the end of the season he can play around 50 % in the midfield and adds enough grunt that we do not miss Corey too much.

I think 2015 will be more likely his year when you see him rack up 20 + possessions a game.
