Agreed..I watched him pretty closely at GC and couldn't see what the fuss was all about, although he clearly had talent and a good body shape for an inside mid. I found it hard to see what role he played at GC tbh. Maybe that hampered him a little?
Either way, he looks very, very promising right now and will be invaluable in giving Sel a chop out inside the engine room.

I've noticed this year GHS has thickened up through the thighs and trunk, does seem to have added a few extra kilos, also heard reported he's a couple of cms over his original draft height, which would have him in the "big Mid" category of types.
Definitely becoming a strong body, had 23 possessions last week!

After watching the Dees game again, I am still quite blown away at how well Caddy played and is progressing further.
Not only is he dominating clearances and winning the contested ball, the best prospect is his disposal efficiency and decision making, which is improving dramatically. He still has more improvement to come which is even more exciting.

Caddy and Duncan in 1-2 years will be midfield royalty.

Personally I think Duncan is just about there now.

Top notch consistency.
If he is to get the tag of midfield royalty he'd want to show brilliant performances often.

Not just be capable of it.

Oi ! I'm a fan of Dunc.

Not midfield royalty yet, by any stretch.

I would say that Mitch's best is elite yes. The skills, the vision the execution. My problem is the consistency. His highs are great but he needs to raise the lows to bring his consistency up. Complete that task, and the guards will be at royal attention in his presence.

Didn't think you'd like that to much, maybe I'm a little bias......:D If Caddy is, you'd have to say he's on the way all the same, that's what I meant.

Caddy isn't there either

Still has 1 or two levels to go. Duncan's next level he should devastating . I don't feel he is atm, highly proficient but to be in the best he has to start to cut teams up. Good thing is his age and games played say he still has that next level or two in him.

Caddy too needs to keep adding but he is a bit behind Duncan atm but already one can see his best is a more aggressive best than Dunc's

He's starting to make me think is becoming very much like Voss.

I agree.
Which is big of me to say because I think Voss was one of the best players I ever saw and the best of his generation (better than Hird, Buckley etc)
Similar guns, better hair colour.

I think you are forgetting what sort of player Voss was. Voss actually played some very good football as a skinny highly skilled winger when he first played. He was the complete midfielder, he had extraordinary vision and his use of the ball was Pendlebury like. In his later years when his legs were gone, he did the bash and crash, which is where I think where you are getting the Caddy comparison but he was a lot more than that.

Caddy is built for the modern game, he loves the physical stuff and he is the sort of guy who will do anything that his coach asks. He is going to be one of our best players over the next ten years. I would pull up short of comparing him to one of the greatest players of all time though.
