Not sure they would rate Bail as high as you.

Don't forget they have actually shown interest in Warnock.

Seems like Mclean in that his body will fall apart? Brock was an absolute gun before the injuries took hold.

Caddy is a quicker, better skilled, younger and more versatile player than Moloney, but plays very similar to him. His kick might not be as long, but it still goes a mile. Would love him at the Dees.

You are also one of the few who understand the drafting system. Most think that our mid 1st round CP will be pick 9, ugh the stupidity.

A CP won't be enough IMO. I'd be willing to give up a CP, Warnock (they were interested in him), Pick 36 (and as a last resort, pick 39 that we receive for Bate).

It might seem like a fair bit, but remember Bate (pick 39) and Warnock don't want to play at the club anymore, CP is good but not enough and pick 36 might just get it over the line.

This would be in exchange for Caddy and a late GC pick, as we still need to use 3 picks in the ND.

This will still leave us with JV and another CP for next year.

we have enough grunt in the midfield..

with moloney, jones,mckenzie,,bails, Viney(next year) and Trengove. ( Hell even Sylvia is a tough,inside midfielder)

We need to draft a skilful speedster who can pinpoint targets. someone who can break the lines and add a bit of dash.
 
From what I've heard the bombers are just ahead of us but there are a couple of others trying a last minute dash tomorrow. He will go for overs due to interest. one of our compos is a given. Started with 54 and compo. Not sure what ess offered or what they can if pushed.

I would say someone with class rather than purely speed.

Also Blease is one, then its Nicholson, cant say we have an abundance.

Unless you get a top 2 pick, it's basically just the luck of the draft to get someone of Trengove's quality.

I'd be interested in getting Caddy for sure. He's basically like a new draftee because he's barely played due to injuries.
 
No mention of us being interested in Caddy in the HUN, just Essendon. Could we snag someone from them for a compo pick? No-one stands out and, those that do, we either don't need or they wouldn't let go. Should be a wild one tomorrow!

He's pretty much a 'straight ahead' footballer; but a very good one, and has a fair bit of toe as well.

FWIW Ess have been trying to get an 'after first round' compo pick (prolly Brisbane's); and we'd send that - and pick 19 - to GC for Caddy. So that's the price.
 
With Warnock discussions still well and truly alive between Dees/Suns, could Caddy come into the equation. Maybe a Bate, or decent picks... At least we know this can't drag on which is a good thing... $$$ maybe the decider for Josh, Bombers apparently offered 7 figures over 3 years?

If we could land him for 1 compo pick, Warnock and Bate/pick 39 I'd be happy. Wouldn't want to spend 2 compo picks on him though would rather take our chances in next years draft.

Would love it if the Dees snared Caddy as well. He has massive raps on him and would be a good addition to the midfield if he can reach his potential. Happy with the club's performance in trade week too, they've had a genuine crack
