I think the fact you even have Peake on that list shows how much you know about the players down at St Kilda, and what we have coming through the ranks.

Like you with St Kilda, I find it hard to see Caddy tying all his options up with North after what happened last year, and I can't see what North have to offer GC that's better than what the Cats and Saints can. Like you, I'll eat my hat if he goes to you, but my bet is that he will most likely go to the Cats, then to the Saints, and then to the Roos.

Other trades can also be done, its such a simplistic, ignorant, media driven view that said's "because team A has pick 11 then they are a better chance then team B who have pick 13 or 14 or even 15." Drivel.

Like GC are gonna let the kid go to the draft over 2 picks, or 3 or even 4. That and there could be other trades that can net picks and players that can throw up all different trade scenarios over the week.

And you never answered my previous statement...Why would he go and play for St Kilda who have clearly an aging list when he can go learn of Jimmy Bartel, Paul Chapman, Joel Selwood, or for the team who grew up admiring, whose family bleed royal blue and white and who have a core group of developing youngsters all around his age bracket?

Just to say something, Geelong have said they're making Caddy the number one priority, and won't do other deals until that's out of the way, so the McIntosh idea falls down there.

On the other hand, it's great that someone knows that he categorically what Caddy wants, and exactly how the Saints will go in the next decade. What's your source? It'd be great to know all these before they happen, saves me about a decade of watching games when I could already know the result!

From what i can gather, Geelong are in the box seat because of their priority pick.
GC will want this priority pick for Caddy.
North and Geelong want Caddy and Geelong also want Mc Intosh.
What do Geelong give North for Mc Intosh ?
If GC do not trade, do they lose Caddy to the draft ?
There are just so many scenarios.
It may be a three way trade.

They may want a pick this year to pass onto the crows. It will depend on what the crows want, this year or a future pick. If Tippett picks GC the priority pick maybe out of play.

Same here. I'd back the recruiting guys in to find us some more young talent if we don't get Josh.
I'd rather us be calculating than making rash trades like the Hay and McConnell trades of the past.
I think only Pederson and Hamish look like moving somewhere.

When you look at all the demand for spuds going around it goes to show some clubs are so bereft of talent that they will have a crack at anything that can walk upright.

Thankfully we are not in that position. Caddy would be a good get, but this trade period is resembling ebay and I am not keen on us to go in a bidding war with people who have loose grip on reality. If he nominates us and we get him for something reasonable, excellent. If he goes to another club because they offer him ridiculous money or offer GC ridiculous compensation then I wont lose any sleep over it.

Nah doesnt bother me. Has elite assets, and will be a very good footballer, overtaking a majority of those 16 in front of him. It's a testament to how highly he is rated with first rounders in the mix to be offered for him who is only 20.

IIRC i remember reading that he signed an extension to the end of 2014.

But back on topic i hope we land caddy as he would be a perfect fit for us however if we don't we can still pick up a quality kid with pick 14 in the draft
