i think i read that caddy had a grandfather that played for north guess josh want to hopefully keep the tradition going!

His grandfather John Reeves played 110 games for North including the 1950 Grand Final.

His uncle Michael Reeves also played at North.

what happened to improving organically?

Our midfield is currently not in the top 6 in the league, so we can wait for them to develop (2-3 years) or add at least one A grader via FA or trade to bring our PW forward. Caddy would be cream on the top.

For some weird reason I have a really good feeling about this - i think he will nominate us and he will end up playing for us next yr. I dont know why - but i just sense the club seems very confident.

But the fact that we are crying out for a ready-to-go classy midfielder, is probably not debatable.

From what i've heard Brad is pretty big on the character of players he has under his tutelage, and would be a key aspect that Caddy would have to satisfy before we offered anything for him.

If he's a stuck up bugger like some are claiming he won't be looked at, simple as that.

My money is that he will stay at the Suns. They will demand a 1st round pick, if they cant get it he wont go to the pre-season or national draft because he will prob end up at GWS or Melbourne.

Don't get me wrong I'd love for him to come to North, would be an awesome addition to what already is going to be a very good midfield.

I think it was also stated last week that if a trade can't be done he may be happy to stick around for another year up there and try again end of next season.

Exact same thing happened last year Essendon offered 19 and they laughed and it will happen this year. They don't have to trade, the risk for him going to GWS as a number in human lotto is probably to big to take. Unless he wants to go play for Melbourne someone will have to offer a 1st round pick at the minimum. GC are pretty confident that he will stay if they can't make a trade.
