Personally, I'd prefer to throw Caddy into that midfield mix, and keep Atley and McDonald on the HBF's.

Atley and McDonald could be the most devastating half back line in the comp.
True, but as the WC games showed, half back line isn't necessarily our biggest problem.

I will have more info soon, there is another who has already taken a tour of Arden Street, waiting on the green light.

Thanks for the info GBS.
It's why I love this site.
More news here than the papers.
Hope it's true that north will be active in trade week err month.

Pykie speaks the truth as ever. Can't have too much quality.

Let's not get too carried away with Caddys alleged delusions of grandeur. 5 minutes in our system with our young leaders will do the trick

So glad I didnt come on here drunk after going out to tea, would of been screaming GIVE US MOAAAAAAAAR at GBS multiple times ;)

Where did u hear that??.......Wrights going nowhere.

Just reading all these threads and trying to tie something semi logical together..... i.e.. Wright talk was raised by others in other threads.
Im sure we wouldn't look at trading Wright unless there was something massive on offer elsewhere. I'd pretty much guarantee trading Wright would not be in order to use the pick (5) in the draft.

If Nth were thinking of trading Wright..... For whatever reason other he was caught playing up (bigtime like!) I wouldnt follow em.......thats how much im confident thats wrights staying.

I'd be surprised if a guy playing in a preliminary final tomorrow was touring a clubs facilities for a club he might play for next year.

Would never happen.

The only realistic one im interested in is Moloney or Pearce.

It's probably a Knights, Salopek or Russell.

Clinton young

Apparently, he's off to GWS. Heard it during the week. Bloke said he is 100% going to GWS.

Good point, but *source* is a professional. This situation is growing eerily similar to Nathan Buckley in 93 and givin' me some bad vibes man...

I hope it is like Buckley.

Caddy screws us over, goes to a big club to seek fortune and glory and we win two flags before he retires flagless.

What's not to like?

Breaking Bad + NMFC + Caddy = WINNING!

Don't get me wrong caddy would be a lovely addition to our side, but if we miss out on him it won't worry me. During Scott's tenure its been about drafting and developing our own and I can't really see this changing dramatically.

I'm not going to make any outlandish statements, but a very good source has told me almost all the clubs are waiting to see what happens with Cloke and Goddard, once those deals are finalised at which ever club they go to, or remain at, he said to expect many current discussions and tentative agreements to be fast tracked.

This tells me that Collingwood and StKilda are going to be buyers if they don't retain players.

I can understand it in Collingwoods case, but not StKilda's. They need to rebuild from the bottom.

If North are chasing trades that are keeping us on hold as a second option behind Collingwood or StKilda, then we should tell them to go and get ****ed right now.

Don't quote me, but, the same source suggested to me that if Goddard leaves St Kilda they at this stage seem to have the best available deal to GC for Caddy, which may include the Goddard compo pick, if he leaves.

I didn't ask him specifically about collingwood, all he said was that they are looking at Pedersen, which is no real surprise.

My source also suggested that we are sitting on the fence waiting for these deals to play out before we really come to the table.

Not outlandish at all. 100% on the money with this.

Makes sense. It appears as though GC are pushing for a hard deal. Fair enough.

I don't think the Pies will fall over themselves for Caddy at this stage.

I have feeling Caddy will end up where Gold Coast get the best deal, not necessarily where he wants to go.

Collingwood have greater areas of worry then midfielders, friday night certainly showed that.

Exactly.

If Cloke stays they are strapped.

If Cloke goes, then they are going to move heaven and earth for forwards. If they want Pederson, then we only do the trade on the proviso they stay away from Caddy.

If StKilda trump us, they trump us. There's not much we can do about that.
