why no geelong ??Saints, Carlton and North will head the race for Josh.
No inside word yet Muttley, but I don't think Geelong would part with their compo pick.
A lot depends on who he nominates and the pending deals of Goddard and Cloke (who has just re-signed).

Bucks was a star in his first year. Not sure about caddy. He's putting enormous pressure on himself, whether meaning to or not.on gold coast board some refer to caddy as the new figjam
The Cats are really into Caddy and the general consensus is the compo will be used if he selects Geelong.
They're into him, no doubt.
Plus, as I stated, it'll all depend on whether he nominates 1 club, or 1-2 clubs or 3-5 clubs.
Just tell him to pick Arden Street and stop ******* about.
Well KC>
Let's just say the old man spoke to someone of importance Tuesday, and didn't bring up young Josh, but chose to discuss this Friday's Moonee Valley meet.
****ing facepalm.

Caddy won't care what compensation Gold Coast get. He will go where he wants to go, not to the highest bidder.Unless we pull something out of our arse quickly, we are not in the Caddy race. He's either going to Geelong for their ablett compensation pick and a pick upgrade deal or St Kilda for their Goddard Comp along with obligatory exchange of picks, my money is on Geelong.

If Gold Coast are too hard arsed they risk losing him for nothing in the draft. But I repeat, he will not simply go to the highest bidder - it does not work like that.Believe me, at the moment Gold Coast don't give a hoot where he wants to go, they are more interested in what they get. I would expect that they would to try to deal with Geelong before anyone else. And if even Caddy wanted to go to collingwood, which was just a rumor then them signing Cloke has killed that idea.

You have broken no news, sorry.Sorry to break the news but I really doubt he'd come to North considering other offers for him and since he hasn't bothered with Collingwood then Gold Coast will have a bigger say than you think. We are at best 4th in line for his services next year so don't get your hopes up.
You have broken no news, sorry.
How do you know what has been offered? By us or anyone else? ....... because it doesn't matter.
I wasn't referring to your news breaking past. My comment was in response to your previous post "Sorry to break the news..."I was told by my source Monday night that Cloke would re-sign with Collingwood and I posted it in here.http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/pedersen-not-at-north-in-2013.972515/page-12 post #285 so I have broken news thank you.
You need a source to tell you that Gold Coast want to get something for him? Of course they do. But if Caddy wants to go to Geelong, Gold Coast can't just say "bad luck you're going to GWS because they offered pick 1". He simply wouldn't sign with them. Caddy is out of contract, so holds the power. Gold Coast held the power last year when he had 1 year to run.Secondly, the same source told me that Gold Coast are going to look to get something for him. A player can identify a club and wish for some sort of deal to be made, but Caddy was pick 7, so Gold Coast are well within their rights to seek adequate compensation, if your thinking about Gunston I will tell you he was approached by Hawthorn and Hawthorn pushed really hard for him to the point that Hawthorn were prepared to Compromise with Adelaide. He nominated Hawthorn because he knew they would deal and were obviously in premiership contention.
I'm not having a go at you mate, I just felt you were coming from the wrong direction. Caddy holds the power of where he goes, not the club with the best 'trade bait' and certainly not Gold Coast.I don't claim to know what we have put forward, but what has been reportedly placed on the market for from my source would take a substantial deal for us to sway Josh and Gold Coast to be a front runner, which currently i doubt we would be prepared to move mountains just to satisfy Josh.
As i said, Don't just expect the Gold Coast to pander to Caddy's desires, they are not that stupid. Caddy will have some say where he goes and Gold Coast will expect adequate compensation.
Unless you have any news, you just have an opinion, just like the rest of us.

Nothing wrong with your words mate, I just found your viewpoint a strange one.I don't think i was breaking news as per say, more trying highlight the fact that according to my source there is considerable interest for Josh in the market and at this moment in time our offer may not be as good as what some may be prepared to offer. In saying that though it would be common sense that yes Josh can decided where he ends up, but don't discount the fact that Gold Coast will not roll over.
Will choose my words more wisely in future if it helps.
