Meaning they get Caddy, Kelly (both North connected  ), and H?!

Who knows. I'd have thought they'd need to add their own first rounder to the compo pick to get into the mini draft, the same way Adelaide did last year.

Interesting... Geelong possibly interested in mini-draft, with their compo pick the likely bait. Hmmm.

From the AFL website...
Is there anything or anyone that hasn't been linked to Geelong? Rivers, Hamish, Caddy and now they want to buy into the mini-draft, how many bloody draft picks do they have?

"The Lions hold pick No.8 in the draft, while Fremantle, who currently enters the draft at pick No.16, would need to package players with its first selection, with the Giants seeking a ruckman and strong-bodied key defender."

.....Hello....

*chemist flashback*

Delany, McIntosh & pick 14 to GWS for their minidraft first pick.

McIntosh ontraded to Geelong, pick 15 to GWS.

Delaney stays at GWS & fulfils their strong key back, McIntosh gets to Geelong, we ignore Caddy and pick up Hogan/Martin/Kelly

*face explodes*

Seriously what, do we trade Mac or Keys to GWS to try to get a minidraft pick? 14 won't get it done. 14 & Mac probably won't. 14 & Delaney won't. 14, Mac and Delaney might do. They'd probably end up on-trading McIntosh for the Ablett compo & trade away their other minidraft pick.

What am I even talking about anymore?

Would not mind picking up Kelly in the MD, it goes against logical thinking and in theory drafting for a skinny midfielder that we can't play until 2014 and might not hit his straps till around 2019 is the opposite of what we should be doing...

but imagine Round 1 2014, with McDonald and Kelly lining up as two BFNAAK's and two potential Elite players stepping into a (hopefully) top 4 side.. it's definitely a much better story then hiring a mercenary who is a shit bloke as displayed by his choosing Essendon :p

Why are we giving up Delaney again?

A very valid question Tas, I will try and answer it. I feel that people felt that Delaney lacked feel for the game, and that he was being felt up by his opponents. I like the guy, has played f/all senior footy and is an aggressive S.O.B. I will be mighty pissed if he leaves, HMac I couldn't careless about. But Delaney should have played against the Eagles we needed his big body, Brad Scott ****ed up big time that day.

Gee I'll be glad when Caddy gets to understand the layout of Arden Street and we can stop showing him around the joint every week.

Is he in for the CEO's position?

'Make it happen, Shack' has a nice ring to it.

Delaney would have been pants by the eagles as well. Defenders need the midfield to at least put up some token resistance so they have a hope in hell to contest.

I feel he is important to us, we should stop using Grima or Thompson as a full back. The other two are good enough to play on mediums if the opposition are lacking talls.

Dead right the midfield sets the tone. The Italians gave more resistence during the war than our mids at times during the year. I reckon Hawthorn will be sniffing around. Imagine if he ends up at a better side than ours?

I think they picked up an impressive looking irish lad who they are probably hopeful of stepping up. They have been cursed with the Hay karma, since shafting us with Hay they have had dire problems with their key defenders, either constantly breaking down or not developing properly at their club.
