Nah, Emma is pretty good and I'd trust her over many of the others.

I think more accurately is that journos are going the "safe option" and presuming Geelong.

I would not be reading much into BnFs at all. The way some clubs do it does not really reflect contribution. Some clubs heavily favour players that have played every game for example. Crowley won Fremantle's this year over Pavlich and McPharlin and similarly the year Ablett won the Brownlow he didn't win Geelong's BnF.

The only substance I would use it for is to argue if GC want more than pick 14.

Nah. FS bidding takes place before trade week. They can only use pick 3 or their 2nd rounder for Viney, regardless.

I really hope we get Caddy, his potential is enormous.

I remember draft time a couple of years ago and I was thinking gee I wished we had a higher pick to take this kid. He was tough, smart with the footy and oozed leadership. He is the type of player that can inspire a whole side with his actions (sound similar to someone else on our list? Refer to my avatar )

Hasn't performed at the Gold Coast, but he has been getting regular games and afl experience. Only in his 2nd season, so his development is probably ahead of where he realistically would be, if say he played for a collingwood.

Pick 14 and greenwood is fair. We are in a stage now where we aren't looking at depth, but to improve our immediate 22 for a tilt at the flag. Get Caddy this year, trade similar next year while getting McDonald in the draft and it will put us very close to that big day in September.

It's a fantastic position to be in as a North supporter. Just sit back, relax and trust the coaches and staff to do their thing.

Totally agree, not a great look for culture when you throw huge money at a kid with "potential." Hopefully both are clubs are using their brain and know what they are doing.

I believe our contract offers to Dangerfield and boak were around 500k, putting them on a par with our very best players.
There is no way we would offer Caddy more than 250-300 at most!!

- roofanatic08 has traded Ziebell, Swallow and Cunnington for pick 7 and 11 in the draft. Reckons if we don't get certain guaranteed superstar teenagers, he is going to stand outside Arden Street pour petrol over himself and set himself on fire.
