Loved his interview after the game.

Something like "Billy and I often joke about being the Gazza compensation. I reckon we both had about 20 today. Combined that's 40. So we're equalling Gaz" :)

Also loved how he was told to run with Jones and said he got done.
But it was the first time in his life he'd ever been told to run with someone.

God I love Scott.

The last 2 weeks will have given him enormous confidence.
To be honest I think he's been so anxious to belong and do the right thing that his natural game has suffered
Once he starts to feel he belongs games like the last 2 will be more the norm - just love his hardness and determination:thumbsu:

there have been times where I feel he has tried too hard. Read on my phone this morning that when he went back to VFL he was given the express license to get back into the MF and play "his game" style in the confines of the structure. Said he felt much more comfortable with the ability to " see ball, get ball, dispose ball" and the results we have seen.

More to come I feel.

It did seem he really wanted to impress on the ground, maybe try to show the other players/coaches/fans that he was worth trading for, yet the best footy he has played has been when he has just done his thing.
Been hard over the footy and hit in hard.
I think the Cats have figured him out and I think he has figured out what is required, the improvement should be on a pretty good curve from here.

in the same way Mots needed to take 1/2 step and slow down, Cads just needed the " you are here.. you have the job... dont worry about proving it to us, just do it..."

I must have heard the same interview with Caddy-it was a really good one.

I also loved it when he was talking about Joel Selwood & said that when he watches Joel go in hard in the packs he wants to try & do the same thing to gain Joel's respect. He also seems under no illusion where he fits into the team :thumbsu:

I see a lot of jimmy barrel influence in him. Tough,
Gets to the right position only faster. He is actually good over head as well! Look it could have also been the long sleeves hahahha

I have been super impressed since he came back for the game against Hawthorn. Yesterday he was in our top three best with SJ and Selwood IMO.

He's going to be a real soldier for us in the midfield. Does need to learn a bit of poise with the ball in hand at times, but it's hard to be too critical about today's effort given he was playing water polo. That goal against the Hawks will be the making of him, and he looks genuinely passionate playing out there in the mighty hoops.

Yep, I think that any kid who can play well against a top of the competition physical side, who play unsociable football like the Hawks, (read into this what you will) just has to have something going for him.

Getting better. Kicking still needs some working on. Liked the shimmy. Hopefully he has more confidence to take the play on.

Loving the way he's progressing but the slight chink in the armour is the disposal by hand and foot and some of the decision making.
Like all our youngsters he's a work in progress and I'm very confident he will morph into a very valuable part of our seemingly bright future :thumbsu:

Uncertain whether he will ever be in our top 5 players, but it is good that he is playing the Geelong way and it will be hard for the MC to not consider him best 22 in the short & long term future. In his current form he is a likely best 22 selection now.

Was good again tonight, thats by my count 4 very good games from Cads.
I can't drop him now, certainly best 22 (likely biased opinion though).
