It was just a ridiculous scenario caused by the worst management in football history.
Hinkley’s time should not be considered the norm going forward.
Club standards hopefully will now return to normal as no coach including Carr should or will get 13 years without success.

I don’t really see it that way. I honestly doubt anyone with half a brain would actually hate Carr taking over.
Even to the most obsessed Hinkley fan change was inevitable.
I believe what will have is Carr enthusiasts and people that are prepared to wait and see what he delivers with our current group.
Anyone who doesn’t want him to succeed is not a real Port Adelaide Person.

Think Josh had a blank canvas for the first 3 years, to use as a vehicle for his footy vision, and see if he can engineer a revival in fortunes.

After 5 years, if he hasn't travelled the road to success, and run out of fuel, the Board would be within it's rights to discuss replacing him, releasing the hand brake, and trying someone else.

If he motors along better than Old Mate, he'd be fairly safe for them to give him the keys for longer.

Well yes the same clowns are running the show that’s true.
I just can’t see any coach getting that much leeway in the future.
Let’s be honest it’s only ever happened once in the history of the game.
In saying that I still don’t see the club growing as it should in the future until both these arse clowns are gone.
