I think the statement everyone would love to hear on this forum is an announcement whereby Koch, Cardone, Osborn, Restas, Holly and Richo are no longer affiliated with the PAFC.

For me I just want democracy and member control. If the other members deem that those people are right for their jobs then so be it, I'll wear that, but if any of them want my vote they should feel pressure to convince me, and every other member that they're the right choice.

I might be wrong but from what I can find there’s no time frame in place for this to happen.
Maybe Chewy might know more ?

Reeves is so good with people management skills, I prefer to see him in a line coaching role. And he'll still have input into the original areas as will Dew as midfield coach and Surjan.

This is a seismic change to the coaching panel, and all of it looks good. I'm astonished that people still choose to complain. That's BigFooty I guess.

2019-21 the club threw resources at Hinkley after they blinked after the 2017 EF loss

We had Montgomery, Schofield, Bassett and Voss as his 4 AFL assistants. Matt Lokan was the SANFL coach. Can't remember who was the development coaches.

I reckon after 2021 the club didn't push too hard to support Hinkley and he probably didn't demand too much support.

Lol pretty funny seeing this because for a decade the club has hidden coaching line ups behind their own berlin wall. We had to virtually guess some peoples roles.

I can wait but I'm a bit impatient. I have this thing called excitement for the upcoming season and just want the coach to say a few words.

You're not going to get a chance at member control whilst the aforementioned are involved.

Though is do think that there is a small chance that he does it as his parting gift when he finally decides to go for the ego hit of being the guy who did it.

Certainly possible, though consider that Koch hasn't exactly been quiet in his desire to one day get on the AFL Commission. Can't imagine that giving membership control of an interstate club to its supporters would look favourable from the Commission's perspective.

“I think he will (be a great coach),” Cornes said.

“I’m not exactly sure how he will change the game plan. I know he had some issues with the way we wanted to move the ball; I think he will be a little safer with ball in hand.

“He really rated the way Freo defend, so I think he will change the system in which Port defends. Maybe a bit more of a zonal defence.

Josh Carr wasn't a fan of Hinkley Ball, what a surprise.

I'm really happy with the coaching group as individuals. Not 100% convinced about the areas they're assigned, and maybe the overall balance of the group, but there's a lot of good minds in that group. I'm happy with today's announcement about Surjan too, he is a good fit for the SANFL role, not AFL assistant level, but that sort of role, he has experience with, and has outsider experience with is a good fit.
