Wasn't sure where to post this so go to the son of...

Peter's Moore and Daicos were guests on Libbi Gorr's Sunday show on the ABC. Nothing earth shattering but a few interesting insights if you've got a spare 20 minutes and didn't get to hear it. Starts at about 1:34

Interesting that they offered Daicos 35 and he turned it down - nice to know that the club is open to giving it to the right player

Was pretty widely discussed at the time. Offered Cal Brown 26 as well from memory. Good to see they want to write their own stories. Thought it amusing that Darcy took 30 because it was his number, not because it was his old mans.

Ah ok, dont remember being aware of that, I always thought they wanted to keep the 'first pick in 35' tradition going.

And I think they likely will now at least until Nick Daicos is drafted.

They don't stay young.
Become adults.
Then men.

Time goes so quick...

He's really filling out now and looks like there's a steely resolve there, hopefully we'll see more performances like R18 against the Roos in 2019.

It would really benefit our team if he could become a crumbing forward.

I think he is best suited to the wing but I would like to see Stephenson and Steele play there next year.

Good dilemma to have.

Yeah, I think we've got some very promising wing options developing, Phillips, Aish, Stephenson, Daics, even Tyler Brown or Murphy. I think he's more likely to squeeze a wing spot than claim a small forward spot.

At this stage, I don't think Daicos has the tricks or pace to play small forward. Like you, I agree that he's best suited to a wing/outside linking mid role. If he is bulking up, perhaps he could start to be considered for a running defender role.

Hopefully he continues to improve and puts his hand up for more senior games this year, but there is a pretty talented group ahead of him at the moment, so I'll be surprised if he cracks it as a definite selection by the end of this season.

Strikes me as someone who will make the most of his opportunities if played forward. Just needs to get enough of it and place the requisite pressure required.

He played as a +1/running defender in the juniors at times. I really don’t know where he’ll end up, but as for speed I don’t think Dad was particularly fast?

BF thrives on extrapolating as much as possible from the scantiest of sources.
And with such conviction too.

Got to love it; never change BF.

Ps TheGreat have I mentioned that I think Murphy will be our breakout player this coming season :D

And was this breakout belief formed after viewing a photo of Murphy, possibly standing on a box, appearing taller than Magden?

We seem to be extrapolating a lot from a picture in a long-sleeved, relatively baggy t-shirt?
If you look at those two pics & still believe he hasn't beefed up, I want one of those long sleeved shirts!

You'd expect him to beef up, and he has, but the real test is to use the added body strength, mass and experience to become a regular AFL player. Not so sure though that I want his long sleeved top.

That’s one out of the box

Pure class. This years preseason followed by 10 or so games in 2019 and then another pre season, come 2020 kaboom! He will tear games apart in the midfield.
