Josh Fraser - whats your opinion

Fraser is a damn good ruckman, and with Guy Richards a handy inclusion it will allow him to kick more goals. He still needs more buff because he does get pushed around but he is improving each year whether ruck, defence or strength. Certainly up for grabs for the captaincy in a couple more years.

Fraser is no good in the ruck, great around the ground. Id prefer Tarks over Fraser as captain any day of the week.

come on, did you watch Collingwood's second half of the season last year, YES YOU DID.

What are you on, He is becoming a great ruckman and will be well served by Guy Richards presence so he can rest in the forward line.

Watch every Collingwood win from last year and tell me he is ****. Stop being a negetive prick and show your football knowledge like what you had last year. You really are starting to go downhill and your opinions are really idiotic.

Tuen it up mate, how many times do you sit at the footy saying gee Fraser is getting killed IN THE RUCK. look up the stats, the statician you are you will find out very quickly how many times Fraser came out on top in the ruck last year.

Nah mate, nothing beats your rumor...

I am confident that Fraser will be a quality ruckman who is formidable in the ruck and excellent around the ground.
I have seen alot of potential in his tap work, he shows glimpses of brilliance in his tap work often palming it down to Burns or Buckley on a clear path and then the play ends up with a goal.

that is one key point in MM's gameplan.

STRATEGY: Fraser doesn't thump the ball because Collingwood's gameplan is to read off other ruckman at the same time (strategic reason why Josh doesn't get may hitouts???). The big ruckman in the league tend to thump the ball out of the ruck and not tap the ball. Matthew Clarke is a key example, he never thumps the ball but he taps it to the on-ballers.

getting a hitout, is a relevant it is where it goes that counts. Frase was ranked least effective in terms of hitting a target last time they brought out the top twenty stat. Try kicking a 60 metre goal at the MCG, everyone kicks further at the dome.

When i recall a hitout as a stat it naurally refers to an effective hitout.
Where was Collingwood ranked in clearances last year?

CLEARANCES 2003:

1. Collingwood 982
2. Adelaide 933
3. Brisbane Lions 920
-----------------------------
16. Fremantle 691

It says something about how ineffective he has been. He might not be up there with all the other top ruckmans but at the rate he is going he will become a Michael Gardiner, he is 3 years behind him. All that Josh needs to do is obviously gain some weight because he does have the strength.

Did you ever think of the fact that maybe last year all of our onballers were on fire and reading the opisition ruckmen. We had Buckley win a brownlow, Lica and woey cosistent. Burns on fire, Brodie getting up there.

What the five games you showed me??? Is that what I'm looking at???? that proves a lot doesnt it...

No, you are supposed to be looking at the SIX most crucial games of our season. It obviously proves alot. especially beating top quality opponents. you said it yourself. Clarke, Goodes, Hille, Keating and Brogan - or are they just mediocre.

I didn't mention Hille. No doubt he was in good form but he didn't exactly kill them more like they came out even but Fraser beat them easily around the ground. What i'm saying is that Fraser is not good in the ruck. He is fantastic as a ruckman around the ground.

A HITOUT IS A RUCKMAN'S STAT!!!

The stats i showed are hitouts, are they not? Yes they are. So these IMPRESSIVE STATS show some link between him being no good in the ruck!

Face it guess_who. The stats you ordered are there and facts are true. it obviously says he is becoming a good ruckman!!!

MY POINT!

He is BECOMING a good ruckman. The stats that you gave me are from the last six rounds. Not the whole year. Besides 20 hit outs a game is a good effort not a great effort.

I think that Collingwood got him too early. He was great when he played for Melton South in the U/18's competition.
Sadly he is burnt out and has lost his confidence. I hope that he gets his confidence back.

Am I the only one that has decided the above is an absolute pile of crap?

Melton South now in the TAC Cup???
