To be fair it isn't just North supporters who do this. Take a look at any team board and if you were to follow it, then there would be 150 contradicting trades occurring every season.
I don't know as I can only comment re. our board.
Can't see too much chest beating there and then have a look at what Trigg said today, also.

It's the same thing every year, isn't it?
Richmond were getting Treloar. 100%
Schache was leaving this year. 100%
Beams was not leaving C'wood. 100% and on and on.

Mate, are you moderating this board, telling everyone what to do?

You can have it. Good luck with Kelly.
Unless you say Kelly is leaving for North because he loves the club Snake trys to kick you out or blocks you.

Its kinda cute.

I have little interest with people that keep diverting the subject to me personally. It's a tactic people use when they are travelling badly in a discussion and have nothing left to add.

We have wasted enough bandwidth on this crap.

This thread is about Josh Kelly, a far more interesting person than me. Let's continue.

Let's be fair. Some are a lot worse than others and that's starting from a very low base.

Is there a good reason that North supporters are so sure that kelly will go to them?
That's not to say it's all North supporters, but where does this bravado come from?
I have always posted I thought he would stay a GWS - if he does make a move you could throw a blanket over 6 or 7 teams in Vic.

Not 1 poster on here has a clue what he is thinking or has a clue what his priority is when picking a team to play at next year.

As we saw with Buddy to GWS being a lock anything could happen between now and October. This thread has been full of rubbish posting for a long time now.

That's not exactly correct, but yes, things can always change and games can always be played.

Really - you believe someone close to Kelly - in his inner sanctum - has been told of his intentions and that person has logged onto Big Footy and posted where he is going next year??

Josh, his parents and his manager would be about it that would have a clue what he is thinking.

Money?
Location?
Length of contract?
Premiership chances?
Team he supported?
Playing with his mates?

I doubt anyone that could answer whats most important would be posting in here.

And are we seriously expected to believe that North are the only club that have made Kelly one or more significant offers, hence no other offers having been leaked?

Are St Kilda and Carlton, who have the required trade assets and reportedly the most amount of money to spend over the next 3 years (as a result of the new CBA) just sitting on their hands, for instance? o_O
Where has this been said?

Nick Bowen said the other day if Carlton and St Kilda have war chests, North are a Bank.

Imo, if north get kelly/dusty they are actually a top 8 side.

They've been ruined by injuries, some contentious calls by the MRP, and they've lost a lot of games under 10 or so points. They've been very unlucky (not sure if Brad Scott is any good either, seems to have no plan B).

Their list actually has a good balance, and their young kids are underrated (as they're north, don't get much media coverage). A few names that come to mind are: Wood, Dumont, Garner, Luke Mac, Durdin, Hrovat, Mountford, Clarke.

Ben Brown, Cunnington (one of the most underrated players in the game) and Higgins (debatable) are A-grade. Ziebell is average tho

I just don't see why Kelly would leave a contender, and why Dusty would go from the 'G to playing in front of crowds of 20-30k.

This is a good post. I would be amazed if Dusty would join North. Just can't see that happening. If the Tigers are offering him a million he will stay imo. If a big club offered 1.5 then it may get interesting.

We would be one of the 6 or 7 chances if Kelly left the Giants. Again without knowing what his priorities are I have no idea if we are a good chance or just another club hoping he joins us.

The consensus is that we have been in his ear for a while, approached early this year with a large deal, father links to the club and barracked for the club for the kid. I suppose there is a romantic quality to it for a lot of North posters, so I suppose that drives it. In addition, the Dusty push by North posters is more due to a mixture of trolling, counter-trolling and inner sanctum types pushing the probability of a deal happening.

As for myself, I think he is staying, same with Dusty too btw, due to the opportunity for premiership glory in the near future.

My opinion is the same as it was in June.

On the logic scale:

North makes the most sense.
Carlton and StKilda are chances.
GWS hold a minor chance of keeping him interstate for unders.
A complete smoky is always a minute chance.

How's this for a smokey....If Richmond don't keep Dusty, they throw the money they would have spent on him at Kelly...

I thought I's seen it all in this thread, but the recent foray into critquing religion was a whole new level of irrelevance.

Richmond don't know if Dusty is leaving or not. To land a player like Kelly I'd think there would be months of persuading and talks to sell Richmond to Kelly as the team to choose. Or just offer $1.6m if your sure you can't sell the idea of joining the club like North are doing.
