If he goes to North that still doesn't mean his management were only talking to North, that notion is effing crazy as I've pointed out. If he was then why would you need to offer big money? No point he'd have no other offers to compare to and would be happy with any amount of money from North. See, ridiculous. Which leads me to believe the poster doesn't in fact know anything.
There is nothing "ridiculous" or "effing crazy" about such a trade.

You only have to go to the Dangerfield trade for proof that the best dollar deal is not always the issue, and that players can have a preferred destination in mind.

That is a bit different I'd argue and one example out of A LOT of OOC player trades.

Serious question - what is Tony Sheehan's track record like with this sort of stuff? (Excluding his trade whisperer alias)
Here's some of his efforts from the last few days of last year's trade period (once I waded through all the insults he loves throwing at people. Pretty sad little man by the looks of it):

What Hawthorn will get for Lewis:

Hahaha. Maybe you better post that on the Dustin Martin threads on your board and the D&T board.
When I suggested that I'm sure you and your north mates howled that proposition down.
Hilarious, when the boots on the other foot so to speak.

Only way I can see Blues getting Josh Kelly is this scenario.

CROWS RECIEVE;

Bryce Gibbs

Blues 2017 3rd Rd Pick (upgrade)
Blues 2017 4th Rd Pick (upgrade)

Blues 2018 2nd Rd Pick (upgrade)
Blues 2018 3rd Rd Pick (upgrade)
Blues 2018 4th Rd Pick (upgrade)

GIANTS RECIEVE;

Blues 2017 First Rd Pick
Adelaide 2018 First Rd Pick

BLUES RECIEVE;

Josh Kelly

Adelaide 2017 1st Rd Pick
Adelaide 2017 3rd Rd Pick (downgrade)
Adelaide 2017 4th Rd Pick (downgrade)

Adelaide 2018 2nd Rd Pick (downgrade)
Adelaide 2018 3rd Rd Pick (downgrade)
Adelaide 2018 4th Rd Pick (downgrade)

GWS 2018 2nd Round Pick

Is this trade scenario better for Giants?
High first round and mid-late future First for Josh Kelly and a late future second
Gillo you aren't getting a first round pick back with Josh Kelly especially when Carlton is only sending out one.

So Carlton will send out one first round pick for Josh Kelly yet Adelaide will cough up two slightly later first round picks for Bryce Gibbs?

Those upgrades and downgrades are meaningless.

When will you find reality?

Blues won't trade 2 high first round picks especially if Josh Kelly wants to go to Victoria.

If a club is willing to trade two First rd picks for him regardless if late it's sufficient compo.
Adam Treloar was more established and was 2 mid first rounds with a second going back to Pies. Who's to say Crows will be top of the ladder with sides like Bulldogs, Demons, Giants, Port, Stk emerging

Crows first round picks for 2017 & 2018 should be enough
Kelly has Treloar covered at this point! Treloar wasn't considered a top 3 mid in the comp at the time or year of his trade. 2 late draft picks ain't even getting you a foot of JK.

Yeah.

He's going to North Melbourne because it's North Melbourne and Josh supported them growing up.

Meanwhile I'm still waiting for the day Goddard comes to Carlton because he supported us as a kid.
Nah, he's going to us because we're going to pay him a shitload of money.

There's a variety of other reasons we are a good fit for him now.

But any suggestion we are getting him cheap cause he BFNAAK is wrong.

Hopefully General Giant can understand this.

We are going to pay Kelly market rate, probably above.

If we didn't have the cap space to do that, we wouldn't be in the hunt.

BUT, and like J.Los this is a large and attractive butt, the fact we can him top dollar brings the BFNAAK into play.

He can come play for us knowing that he's getting the best possible deal financially as well.

Anyone who thinks that him supporting us outweighs the money is a cretin.

But if two clubs offer the same money, then it may come into play.

My understanding is there's several other factors that make us a good fit with what he wants "going forward" too.

He'll post his twitter source soon, just sit back and wait.
Sadly none there.

And I really, really enjoy the way you Essendon fans keep bringing up stuff from back in the ASADA hot topic board days.

Almost like I got to you all.

Lance Uppercut ... do you think I got to them?

This might be the most delusional thing I've seen on here, his management is only talking to north? Are you genuinely soft in the head? Do you really think you're the only club who's been interested in Kelly for an extended period of time? If you really do think this then you are possibly the most delusional BF poster and that is a massive title to hold.

Oh I think lots of other clubs are interested in Kelly. I think lots of other clubs have approached his management.

But his management are only in genuine negotiations with one club - North.

St Kilda and Carlton might be in the carpark shouting out numbers, North are inside sitting across a desk from his management, going through contracts.

Btw - I find the idea that we could get both Dusty and Kelly delusional.

We aren't getting Dusty.

But we're getting Kelly.

Jesus are you a flat earther as well? His management are most definitely speaking to other clubs, there is not a chance in the world you would know they aren't unless you are in fact Paul Connors.

here's how to make up a trade rumour:

"Carlton making a huge play for Dusty. Talks with Richmond on hold.Stay tuned."
Making up trade rumours is fun. I remember when I made up the Urquhart for Vezspremi one.

Some journo actually asked Vezspremi about it at his presser when he signed for the Dogs

No. Thinking he's going to north is one thing, but asserting that 'his management is only talking north' on the back of some obviously made up club sources is simply and utterly crazy.
Not made up. Not all club sources either

When I make things up here, I do it with style - like Rebecca's Journey, or the Julian Assange is a North supporter thing.

They may be "speaking" to other clubs. As in other clubs ring and propose talks etc.

But they are only negotiating with North. As in actual proper talks that result in a lengthy and detailed legally binding contract at the end.

Sorry but there is no way you can know that, it's a ridiculous notion and you're straight up daft if you honestly believe that.
