Demonland seems to think they will have him by tomorrow.

Be fairly warned - there is no source there, nothing.

http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/topic/37502-the-josh-kennedy-revelation/

The deal will be done by tomorrow 3pm. Some supporters may get a shock for the compensation we will be giving Sydney, but you have to pay overs to get these sorts of deals done.

I am told we should be thanking Chris Dawes for the effort he has put in to get Josh across. He and Kennedy are mates from their Sandringham Dragon days.

Go Dees!!

Has anyone heard anything about this?

* edit well, if no-one has heard anything about this then perhaps it should be closed/moved to the Rumours board until something concrete emerges.

Nothing says bullshit like specifying the hour it will happen.
Wrong. It smelt like bullshit when it said Dawes was the tipping point. Like seriously what could he have said to Kennedy to sway him?

Oh Josh just imagine it we can recreate the halycon days at the Dragons. BFFs 4eva

With Heeney and very highly rated kids coming in next year the last thing Sydney needs is two top picks. Ok sure maybe a key forward is handy, trade out Tippett next year or the year after to Brisbane maybe and take a key defender as well and that's a really good set up around Mitchell, Heeney and Mills etc. But there's a premiership window. If the swans are trading out Kennedy then why not retire Goodes and keep Membrey and so on.

The only way this gets done besides Melbourne's huge offer is if the Swans have a compassionate reason to let Kennedy go.

Yeah I've heard this from a 'supposed' reliable source.
Picks 2&3 for Kennedy, heard a while ago aswell that Kennedy wasn't happy with some teammates.

Melbourne would have the cap space to offer big money for a few years. I think it's an insane move on their part though. They need quality kids after screwing up pretty much every recruitment decision of the last 5 years.

Maybe that's the reason they want to trade in ready-made players? Scared of buggering up 2 top picks again....

Would have thought Roos had more pull in this than Dawes if true
Come on! The Dawes and Sandringham dragons connection is a perfect part of the story. Roos is way too obvious.

Personally if I were making one of these up I'd go with George Stone. He's already a bit of a mythical father figure type.

Probably a good trade for Melbourne if you look at it like #2 and Frawley but yeah #2 and #3 seems overs.. Would be a huge get though for Melboune. I read somewhere on BF Melbourne released a statement saying they were now taking their picks to the draft today?

Anyone else think 2 and 3 would be fair? Don't really see how that can be overs for a guy in his mid 20s who is one of the best players in the comp.
