Can't find anything onlline. Is this just the weekend article "If I had my time again I may not have had the op" stuff?

must have been this article

"Judd-less Blues upset Power by 15 points"

I watched the game. Really looked out for him and hoped he would do good things... sorry to say, he was hopeless for a number 3 pick entering his 3 year in the system. Ok if you're pick 30+ but not for pick 3. Pressure must be mounting in his own head!

It was one game tho so there is still hope. Marc Murphy had a crap game this weekend as well but at least in his case he has shown something in the past so we know it is an aberration. Kennedy has shown nothing to date and failed in an important trial. Still gets 2+ more years to show something but on whats being displayed so far you wouldn't be too excited about having him on yuor list as a number 3 pick.

If you're gonna sook about it, then we'll have him back ffs. Bloody Eagles supporters can't see a forward talent because they've been deprived of one for so long.

OK, but that's what I'm asking you BB, and other Carlton supporters. Where do you think he should be used? I'm not knocking the kid, what I am saying is if he should be a certain position, ie FF or CHF then we should put him there and give him a run pre-season, at the expense of the incumbents in those positions.

Oh, and on your query about having only 2 genuine rucks, I thought Carlton, of all clubs would understand how that can happen! Although, we did pick up a third in the rookie draft and I would think they have enough faith in various players, including Kennedy it looks, to ruck around the ground.

When Carlton got caught out for ruck options it was because French retired unexpectadly at 30, as did De Luca a year later at 26 with a year still on his contract.
WC traded Gardiner prior to 06 draft, and a few good young rucks seem to be emerging from that draft but you guys didnt draft a ruckman.
We are happy you didnt pick Hammer with your 1st rnd pick.

As for Kennedy I see him as similar in style to Hansen, but is bigger and will be a significantly better contested mark, though less reliable with his kicking (CHF or a FP for Josh)

I'm no longer that sorry to have seen him go.

When you remove the natural instinct to look for positives that comes with the fact that you used a no. 4 pick on a young talent, it becomes more apparent that he showed very little while he was with us.

Sounds like a great kid so i still hope he does well, but it's looking less likely I think.

This is the first crack in the wall of denial that JK supporters built over the time he was with us. Kudos for your honesty. I too hope he makes it but to read the ridiculous excuses Carlton people are STILL giving this young man makes me shake my head. I might be proven wrong but I have absolutely no qualms regarding the JK/JC trade.

Scot Gumbleton / Lachlan Hansen board :thumbsdown::p

Cheers Aisassin.:thumbsu: That's my thoughts, CHF, but of course Hansen is the stumbling block there. FP may be his lot for a while.

Yes, Hampson did look good. All clubs miss a keeper or 2 with their drafting. Generally Woodhouse is pretty good, although we did take Sampi with pick 6.

Well personally i'm excited about Josh... I think that he has lots of ability and last night was hardly the night to shine. We had kids all over the ground and there was hardly a decent delivery to the forward line...

I can't speak for other Eagle fans - but I can be very patient when waiting for young players to develop. I'm sure he'll be a regular fixture in the blue and gold before too long, and I can't wait :)

btw. I'm new to this bigfooty thing and I have to say - why are there so many angry people? and i mean from all clubs!

Anyhoo... time will reveal who came out trumps in the Judd deal - so lets wait and see ;)

Welcome Savannah. The angry pills are in the drawer to your left. Tea and coffee near the fridge, Mens and Womens toilets through the hall. You'll find 3 or 4 boxes labeled "Excuses for JK Non-Performance" in the storage room near the stairs, All the very best.

Ha ha ha...........welcome to the jungle.

BF is a forum for many things.

Sensible footy discussion is one of them, but sometimes it can be hard to find.

With footy as I'm sure you are aware, passions run high. With the anonnymity (?sp) of the internet passions can run even higher here with the appearance of no consequences.

Sometimes with this in mind, people (trolls) will deliberately try and provoke responses by making stupid or provocative statements......and the jungles noises begin.

I'm not sure there are too many genuinely angry people on here (although Blue skies - RIsP) is still a concern.......but more so people just trying to wind you up.

You can either bite back and start a to-and-fro thing where my arguement is better than yours, or you just move onto another thread that remains on topic and calm.

Stick with it though........it gets easier to spot the riff raff.:D

I think the ones sticking by JK are the ppl that saw him dominate in the Bullants on numerous occassions with very sticky fingers.

I dont think there have been to many excuses made for JK.......rather a feeling that he just hasnt yet performed to his ability at senior level, and has seemed to lack confidence.

Agree. I think there are a few on bigfooty who live and die for their footy and become pretty agro and lacking in common sense. Re Kennedy I felt he was finding his feet at Carlton. Watched parts of last night's game and felt that the Eagles didn't bring the ball into the forward zone very well. Felt Josh really tried and led hard only to be ignored. In the ruck he was compeditive. Also noticed in a couple of chases that he has good speed for a big man.

I agree. The Bullants watchers got the ball rolling.I was prepared to give him another season, but thats all out the window now,and yes I will be changing my username:D

I love how the nails come out now he is gone and all the oposition supporters have gone back to their boards.

The fact is Josh will be a star. He is not ready yet for AFL football and all we have done is given West Coast a giant favour by fast tracking his ultimate development by playing him when at any other club Josh probably would be lucky to have played five games. He has all the attibutes, just not the time.

Give him another 2 or 3 years before you trash the bloke.

This is the sort of garbage I railed against last season. You have absolutely as much idea that he will be a "star" as someone who suggests he will be a "dud". You don't happen to have the Lotto numbers for Saturday do you? Pfft.

So why the need to shoot him down for expressing his opinion, just because you dont agree with it.

I dont see you abusing all the posters claiming Hammer will be a star when he has played a total of 2 AFL games.

I dont see you rubbishing all the posters claiming Hammer will be a star when he has played a total of 2 AFL games. Is it just because you agree with it ?

1. Because he is an aggressive smartarse like you and me and

2. Because Hampson has shown more in 2 games than JK showed in his entire time at Carlton. It doesn't mean he will make it but all the talk is about what he did - not excuses for what he might or could have done.
