do you think it was wrong for us to trade him he couldve maybe been the answer to our forward problems
?

If we didn't trade him we wouldn't have that Chris Judd bloke. I'm pretty happy with the decision.

This sort of thread has been done to death.

No i don't think it was wrong because what we gained was far greater than anything we would have gained from JK. Although I do miss the bloke and never wanted to get rid of him. I'm still very interested in following his career, and wish him all the best (i feel like ive said this a thousand times).

we couldve traded some other guy couldnt we?

Yeah, could have got rid of one of our better backmen, Paul Bower. Do you think Fev should have nudged his aim a touch to the left having his final shot for goal against Hawthorn? OP's shouldn't really answer their own questions and then expect valid input.

No way! We would have had to give up Bower or Kruezer instead. Bower has real potential, Kennedy only had trade value due to speculation and because of how high he was picked. Bower is better than Kennedy anyway.

Josh has played 1 good game for the Eagles who also have been desperate for another target up forward.
Remember which game?
Was WC V Car at Subi 2008
Other than that he has delivered nothing in the AFL or WAFL
I love the kid but am happy with Judd thanks

he looks promising and think he wouldve devolped much faster at carlton

Agree. I think he would have developed quicker at Carlton. He was starting to find his confidence towards the end at Carlton and has had to start over at WC. I wanted him to stay more for his attitude than anything else. He is the sort of player that Carlton sadly lack. Very much in the Kruz mould. Perhaps not as skilled as Kruz but has the same honest and passionate heart. Is fantastic with his attack on the ball and the man and also seems committed to all the 1 %'s. Re Judd I would have preffered Walker to go. Not because of his injuries and not because of ability as he has heaps. Just don't see that Walker is anywhere near as solid in attitude as Josh. Aside from Walker guys like Stevo would also have been an option given that I feel his attitude is also more prone to slipping.

stupid thread.

Kennedy who is a fringe player with the eagles OR Chris Judd, the best midfielder and leader in the comp and in serious brownlow medal contention.

Dosen't take einstein to work out who got the better deal.

close thread.

He is only an average player and can barely get a game at WC..

If he was available now he would be worth a punt with a 3rd round draft pick at best

This has been done to death. You called it the way it is thy and what I was going to say, to get the best player in the competition we had to part with him or Bower and our picks, which could have been pick 1 (Kreuzer), which if you remember West Coast pushed almost until the death to grab.;)
It was the best we could have done, and now we can really see why we parted with JK instead of Emu.
JK's future depends on how his body holds up as well.

Curious, I thought your club accepted anything?

Probably. This is how I saw it in that trade. If the player involved was...

Fev - Too one sided to us

Kennedy - WA boy, high draft pick with a lot of raw talent. Fairly even

Bower - Too one sided to you. We have Brown, MacKenzie, Spangher, Schofield, Wilkes, Glass, Hunter, Bones etc. All similar players.

I felt sorry him being "forced" to go to the WCE.

On the other hand, I never really thought he was that good, and I still don't think he will be.

We wouldn't have accepted that.
Yet Andrew Walker's Dad said you asked for his son.

I wouldn't have pulled the trigger on that trade either.

I like Kennedy, but I have doubts about him living up to his draft position and potential as a junior.

It's sad that Kennedy and Gumbleton just can't get on the park.
